We have a neighbor two doors down from us. He is one huge Gator fan. Every football Saturday, this guy decorates his yard in Gator colors, flag, sign, even one of those inflatable Gators. Every Saturday. His mailbox is Gotor!

I saw him outside his yard a bit ago and pulled over and asked why he let the COVID get to the Gators. His eyes got real big and said, "It's A&M. They are the cause of the cancellation." First I had heard of it.

Best wishes to all who are sick.

Obviously, we have figured a way to cheat the tests since we haven't had any positive tests. Expecting some to turn up over this coming weekend thanks to Florida.

Wrong. He said they represent a tiny fraction of the death rate. And they do (0.1%). Your dumbass just played right into notsince98's hands.

I did not say I agreed, just relaying what he told me.

Why are you people so damn scared? Wake up. It’s time to move on. There’s a whole world going on outside of your tv and Facebook. Vast Majority of us are doing fine. Quit being a pussy and spreading fear. Gullible arse

Actually, only 6% of that 206,000 number have Covid listed as their sole cause of death on their death certificate. That does not mean the others did not die from Covid. The overwhelming majority of Covid deaths are in people with known co-morbidities so most that die from Covid will have COPD, CHF, diabetes, or hypertension listed on their death certificates as well. Also, the ACTUAL cause of death should be listed too meaning pneumonia or circulatory failure. None of these things are caused by Covid but the person wouldn't have died at that time without Covid.

Hypothetical Analogy: in the last 6 months 206,000 people died in car wrecks while drunk. Most of the death certificates will list the injuries suffered from the accident and many wouldn't even list intoxication yet intoxication caused most of those deaths.

Anyone who thinks that this thing has only killed 12k people in this country hasn't spoken with anyone who works in healthcare at ALL. I have worked in healthcare for 16 years and I have never seen anything even close to this. Healthy young people really have very little to fear from it, but it is extremely contagious and devastates the lives of older or chronically ill people regardless of their political ideology.

I wasn't taking a jab. Just trying to be humorous about it. I do expect positive tests to show up for A&M shortly though if Florida had players with symptoms that traveled. And that is unfortunate.

Its less than that

115 children total have died from covid

That is .05% of the covid death total

But lets take a step further

There are 74 million children in the US

So, .0001554% of US children have died from covid, that is statistically ZERO

All this testing, positive tests - Oh No! - contact tracing, masks is a charade just to act like there’s concern so we can play. I concur with others, time to move on. I would not test my kids bc they will be fine, test probably would be a false positive. No reason to disrupt their or others lives on nothing.

The numbers for healthy non seniors support this stance.

Let's see...218,000 deaths by somebody telling this country "it's nothing".
