OM did not compete against Bama. Ole Miss only crossed the 50 yard line once after the 6:35 mark in the 1st quarter. Once Bama went up 27-7 in the mid 2nd quarter, it was over.
OM did much better against A&M but did get 6 turnovers to help. State looked horrible from the start against A&M (a month later). That's the only 'bad' differential comparison between OM and State.
OM did well against LSU, but State was at LSU's goal line within a few yards of cutting it to 6 points with 2 minutes left. However, State instead threw a 100 yard pick 6, which made the score look less close than the game was.
You barely beat Arkansas with a last second FG, we killed Arkansas. There's a differential in State's favor.
So the eye test is not that clear cut, at least with the score differentials.
Edit: Kentucky? It was 14-0, then 20-7 at the half, then 27-7 after our 1st possession in the 2nd half. State was never in trouble in that game. We also took a knee at their 2 yard line to end the game.

Both the Mississippi schools are peaking right now. I think they will do well for the next few seasons.

Hey, in July I picked Ole Miss to finish 7-6. I win. Thanks, OM.

Stupid again. We played @Ark when they still had a chance to become bowl eligible. You played at home. A&M, Bama, and LSU are the only comparable games. Both played @LSU and @Bama and A&M @home. Once again, you're dumb.
ETA: 41-24, who need's the fricking eye test dumb MFer.

We have had black presidents of the alumni association, so I am sure we have big time donors who are minorities.
And your posts are a joke. On the one hand you call us sell outs for our changes, then suggest that we are bigoted because of the things we changed.
So we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. Whatever. State sucks. Mullen sucks. Starkville sucks.

Plain and simple Ole Miss beat MSU. More fans of the SEC feel that Ole Miss is better. MSU had the better record, but you played Jackson State, South Alabama, Jacksonville State and MTSU. Not the most competitive slate of teams. You beat Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee and Auburn. Did any of these teams even go bowling this year?

State and Ole Miss will always be two midgets arguing which one is taller. Anybody who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

Here's another big difference: Dan Mullen has coached 4 years at Mississippi State and only has beaten one SEC West team with a winning record.

At least Ole Miss showed up to all of its games this year. I think that's another difference.

Not only that, but all these teams had their coaches fired. If you lost to State, you got fired. Think about that in how much their opponents respect them.

Moral victories at it's best for OM. We had them 2 and 3 years ago, and they were not allowed. So OM you can't have your moral victories either.
