Looks like this will be an annual recurring theme.

We HAD a running game, but inexplicably abandoned it on the drive where we threw a pick in the endzone. Carson was gashing them on that drive and they just...stopped.

Problem on defense is definitely talent. Which is why we are playing so many true fish across the front seven. But in two years those fish will be JR's, and backed up by more talent. We need 2-3 years to field an SEC quality defense.

A&M is a 8-10 win team next year without JFF, and a contender the year after that.

A&M will never win a championship playing in a track meet on Saturdays. Sumlin's philosophy will have to change, and I don't see that happening.

If you can't do it with the likes of Manziel, it ain't happening.

Can't get or stop short yardage. Even if your defense had the horses to run, your offense would run them into the ground.

Your Blitzkreig offense is obviously going to have to spot you more than a 20 point advantage, and you're going to have to win the TO battle to have a shot in the end against any title contending teams.

Though,I'll admit it was fun watching ya'll shoot your wad in the first 5 minutes yesterday.

You had a running game because BAMA played virtually the entire game with just one LB on the field because you have J. Manziel. Without him BAMA D stays more base and your running game becomes nonexistent.

Bama relies on a system. A & M relies on one player. One is sustainable and one is not.

There is a reason 9 of the last 12 QB's to win the National Championship where pocket passers. HUNH is a gimmick that talent and discipline trumps.

It was a tremendous game played by two great college teams. I was impressived Nick Saban told Sumlin it took 10 years off his life. Looking forward to this healthy matchup every year.

A&M beat the heck out of LSU for years and years back in the 90's - I expect that to resume shortly and for the long term.

The point of the what ifs is stupid. What YOU are missing is that all these predictions of A&M getting destroyed in the SEC have been flat out WRONG. But we still get to hear new fresh BS every week. Haha.

No use quibbling about a win , but allow me.

After falling behind 20-0 last year CSN had to change his Tebow contain defense and we blitzed a lot in the 2nd, 3rd and 4rth quarters , dominating TAMUs offense.

CNS , evidently thought the 3-2-6 and 3-1-7 schemes would work better if the DBs would just keep their eyes off JFF and followed their receivers.

He was wrong , and IMO would have adjusted at the half but for a 28-14 lead which turned into a 35-14 lead , so CNS stayed with the game plan knowing our offense was going to score more points on TAMUs soft defense, so I can't blame him for staying pat , but I do hope he learned pressure from all angles is how you deal with a scrambling QB who can pass.

TAMU never had the ball in the 2nd half down by less than 14.

Prevent defense is not you CNS , please never game plan in this manner again.

I have no problem admitting this. Still, we had a very real chance to win that game, but overall Bama is a better team.

In a year or two, the defensive side of the ball is going to be exponentially better.

Great game... had me on edge for the entire day.

The biggest thing going for A&M was more Evans than Manziel. Alabama took him away for a spell when we put Beleu on him, but then Beleu went out with an injury and Evans steamrolled us again.
