You drag coolers to Mardi Gras balls and charge your guests admission. You advertise for people to join the Krewes. Hell some of them sell spots on floats.

Your point? I have an idea lets poll the entire country and ask them what city and state comes to mind first when they think of Mardi Gras.

So what would u have us do? Just go into the game thinking “O well, we’re gonna lose. Why even get excited or watch the game. No point in it anyway” most Tiger fans knew we probably weren’t gonna win the last 8 games we played against y’all. Being that Bama’s team was clearly better, but we had a lil hope. Cause why not, upsets happen. Shyt y’all lost to ole miss twice in a row while y’all were clearly the better team. But this year is different, we have a way better team this year compared to years before. Would u agree on that? So why would we not get excited and think we can win. In all honesty, do u really think that we can’t win this game? Not saying that u think y’all are gonna lose, but out of the last 8 years do u think this is the best LSU team we’ve had?

Dude, Shrove Tuesday has been celebrated by French Catholics for over a thousand years.

Although founded by the French, I don't think Mobile is that old.

The state itself has plenty of culture. French, Spanish, Native American, and American heritage does a lot to diversify an area.

You dont have Mardi Gras you have a tacky version of it. Its like having your wedding be BYOB or a cash bar.
