& yet none of the 3 have badmouthed the military either.

And you know that was debunked, right? People present at the supposed comment denied it was said?

People need to stop getting their talking points from memes and opposing parties talking points. And, for the record, I am talking about both sides.

No clue..but I would have died within a minute on normandy for sure. That def had to suck knowing you were fricked when you got on the landing boats. The bravery of those men is insane.

I can't join the military, Diabetes..type 1..since I was 3. Did not get it because I was overweight or elderly(type 2).

LSU decided to play. Bad optics.

How so? Their team was made up of players that either didn't qualify for draft/service or were too young. Keeping the homefront morale high was a big concern and allowing folks to enjoy some football and be able to have a feeling of normalcy helped.

Respect Alex Box

ForeverGay knows absolutely no one like this. She’s never met a man with this bravery and fortitude in her entire life. Her dad should have worn a skirt.

The SEC has two schools with A&M in their name and both of them sent more students to war than any other school outside of the academies. Fun Fact

That'd be a stump busting gameshow trivia question

We're talking about the SCHOOL fielding a FOOTBALL team while there was a WAR going on. It's bad optics. Period.

ForeverObtuse exhibiting his typical shallow understanding of a topic which never prevents him from posting straight-up ignorance.

If you actually look at how Georgia fielded a team - and why Georgia actually did it - it makes the school look pretty good. It also makes you wonder why schools, like Florida, didn't field a team.

Schools like Florida likely did not field a team because it was difficult to do - you had to use underage players and players that were medically disqualified from military service. It had nothing to do with patriotism.

But don't let that stop you ForeverObtuse. By all means, continue to wave the flag of ignorance.
