I think that statement says more about your feelings towards college-athletes than the OPs feelings.
No. This thread is obviously directed at people who can't afford to go to college. Which includes a large number of the people who actually play the sport. Just go look at who people like OP point to when making fun of "sidewalk" fans. It's just ruling-class bully bullshite.
Sorry if you're having trouble reading my posts with that LSU education.

People's ability to go to a state school like most of the ones in the SEC has way more to do with their economic situation than their intelligence. It's not that hard to get into most of the schools in the SEC.

You implied that 90% of football players wouldn't have a degree if not for playing football at a particular university.
The OP wasn't about football players it was about fans.
YOU took it to that level.
When did I say I was a graduate of LSU?

I'm talking about getting in for free, which is (relatively) easy at Alabama. We give a shitload of scholarships. There are a lot of people who were accepted to Duke, the Ivy League, etc but went to Bama because they got a full ride that even other big state schools don't offer.

Did you graduate from your favorite teams school?
Offseason thread is shitty
It is off season for Crackerlina.
THE University of Alabama, like my father, 2 uncles, aunt, brothers, sister, BIL, SIL, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, and multiple cousins.
Does this give me OP's OK to be an Alabama fan?

Maybe.
But it certainly gives someone endless Bama incest jokes.

These threads are so boring. I have my undergrad from Harvard, my MBA from Columbia, one Phd from Oxford, and another from Yale.
Those were my safety schools

Yes Alabama in '92
Other family members who graduated from Alabama are my wife, my brother, brothers wife, my father, my mother, my paternal grandfather, 2 great grandfathers, 4 cousins, 2 uncles, 1 aunt.
My daughter is a sophomore at Alabama now (sorry no pics)
My son plans to enroll in 2017 after he graduates high school.
I grew up 7 doors down from Coach Bryant. I have lived in Tuscaloosa all my life and love it.

Nope, one of the only regrets of my life. Had a scholarship for instate tuition out of high school and decided to stay close to home and attend KU. After 2 years of knowing I fricked up I tried to transfer. LSU was at the beginning of their budget restraints and I couldn't get in for anything less than out of state. Out of state transfer scholarships were eliminated the year I looked to do so.
