A&M allowed 16 points. The final score was 29-16. Which means they allowed 16 points. If Auburn converts their 2 pt try late in the 4th it's 18.

A&M won lsu lost

Using this logic A&M had a better defensive performance vs Tennessee than App St. did because A&M won the game, correct? App St. allowed 319 yards against Tennessee. A&M gave up 684. Both games went to OT. But A&M won so they played better D right?

Except we've played excellent defense in games too. We played a better defensive ballgame vs Auburn than LSU did, for instance

We gave up less points and had a lower yards per play. Not really arguable we had a better defensive game

Wouldn't common sense dictate that aTm wait until 7 or 8 games before the bragging starts?

Forget "3rd and Chavis"
Y'all need to worry about "7-Sumlin"

Jesus man. A&M gave up 2 touchdowns while LSU didn't allow any. You gave up more total yards. A&M gave up 26 first downs to Auburn. LSU allowed 18 first downs. A&M allowed 4.4 yards a rush while LSU allowed 3.1

But yea definitely not arguable at all.

No wonder aggy can't win the SEC, this whole time we thought we was playing for points but should have been going for yards and first downs.

A&M fan says, after giving up nearly 700 yards of offense, that they have played better defensively in other games and specifically cites Auburn with the common opponent of LSU as an example. Facts disagree. This isn't my opinion I didn't make up the defensive stats from the games in reference. Other aggy fans come to rescue and deflect as usual throwing out extremely witty comments explaining why they haven't won the SEC due to yards given up - which is ironic given your run D over the last 3 years. Solid performance once again.

I'm sure it's been said in this thread, but LSU gave up like 460 passing yards to Geno Smith in 2011 and still won by 25 points.

And won the SEC, too.

If by making the right choice you mean he went to a place that could hide his inadequacies because they can score 35+ a game then sure. Why you would ever be okay with your team giving up 700+ yards is beyond me though.

He made the right choice, but it was time for him to go. Bend but don't break is frustrating to watch.

Tennessee turned the ball over 7 times and you needed double OT to beat them after giving up the lead in the fourth quarter. That shite is going to bite you in the arse sooner or later and then you will be bitching about how Chavis can't close out a game. That was an embarrassment for a team that supposedly improved so much on defense.

Nah, we will bitch that the offense couldn't score more and that poor Chavis had to do everything.

You gave up 2 less points. You allowed 8 more first downs, 11 more total yards, two more touchdowns (lsu allowed zero), 4.4 yards per carry (lsu allowed 3.1), etc etc. But whatever man sorry you can't be a fan of your team while also looking at facts objectively.
