I'd be shocked if LSU exceeded 2011/2012 play in 2013. I think we all expect a drop. Just not over a cliff.

I think several of them are leaving because of playing time/depth chart issues (Ford/Ware, etc.)
But most of them are just that good, esp. on D.

LSU underachieved in 2012 because (obviously) many of the starters had their mind set on the NFL. Young, hungry talent will be a good thing for LSU. The problem is the schedule. Anyone would be an underdog @Bama and @UGA. I expect LSU to beat TCU, A&M and UF, but would not be surprised if they dropped one of the games in Mississippi.

Jr's are that are good enough to get drafted into the pro's are leaving early because they're disgruntled about lack of playing time?

Just pointing out that it will negatively affect the 2013 LSU team, especially from a defense and leadesrhip standpoint.

Well duh.

The question for 2013 is whether the backups can shut down offenses like the 2012 version did.

LSU doesn't have "backups"...we just have starters that haven't started yet

They can't improve their draft status so why come back?

No worries....Tiger fans will be telling us in Sept how bad they will beat UF etc etc...even though the defense will be definitely a weak spot and defense wins games....on the brightside Metty gets to air it out and you get to watch exciting football games you lose by scores like 37-27.

Ford may be the only one leaving because of pt, hes not going to get enough carries to improve is draft. not that hes upset, just no point in not coming out.

most of them are leaving because they have been here for 4 years and have all played at least 3 years. Ware, simon, reid and wing played as true freshmen. Players dont play for 3 years in college. The norm used to be rs, then get playing time jr and sr year.

this is going to be the norm, uf and ut have 4 guys leaving early, one program was terrible and one was good.
