Hmmmmmh, kinda puts LSU's output to shame, doesn't it?

Mark Richt, taking notes?

Is your starting QB named McCarron? Because he was in on the last drive, throwing TD passes with a minute left in the game.

We didn't pull McCarron against Arky, Auburn, or Ole Miss either. Were those games close?

I don't want to bring up LSU 14, Western Kentucky 7 at halftime. Because, seriously, who cares?

Halftime isn't one minute left and Western Kentucky isn't an FCS division school.

Lacour was right: Bama fans are getting very testy.

Me thinks it may have something to do with how the movement to expose the Alabama bias at ESPN is gaining steam and Bama fans who this time 48 hours ago assumed a spot in the NC Game are opening their eyes to the distinct reality that they may still be going to New Orleans, but a week early.

You know what I don't care what you think. Either Alabama will play LSU for the national championship or they won't. But it won't be message board posters who decide this. What will your argument be if Oklahoma waxes Okie State?? I watched that Iowa State vs Okie State game and I was not impressed with either team.

It wasn't 14-7 with one minute left. And Ga. Southern is probably better.

But again who cares? Maybe some Bama fans are getting testy, but some LSU fans are getting very very nit-picky with this shite (seriously, you're analyzing our glorified scrimmage game?) because they really really really really really really really don't want to play Bama again. So they'll conjure up every possible reason to justify the two best teams not playing. It's pathetic.

I love this board.

By the time the BCS selection show comes on, there will be e-fistfights on here.

LSU also beat Alabama, so what's the point of arguing about LSU-Alabama. This point of this thread is to talk about Alabama, and if you want, its very fluffy schedule.

OK State, Alabama, VA Tech, and Stanford, these should be the teams discussed this week. LSU has proven it deserves to be in the NC Game. Alabama, IMO, has not.

Oklahoma st lost to a team that only beat an FCS team by 1 point so Iowa st is FCS caliber by logic

Just because GSU is an FCS doesn't mean they are terrible. Last I checked sagarin who does all of Division I rankings together (200-250 teams) GSU was in the 70's, obviously above a ton of FBS teams.

I called Bama getting more of a game than they bargained for because I know GSU ball really well. We run the triple option at GSU with a QB transfer from Georgia Tech (Connor Shaw's older brother, actually). We are an extremely efficient offense and Alabama had a short week to prepare and they hadn't faced a triple option offense since the 1990's. It's not an offense you only want a week to prepare for.

For those that don't know, GSU is a great team in FCS, 9-2 overall and the 3rd overall seed in the playoffs. Not excusing Bama's performance, but if you knew more about the opponent, you would of saw this game coming. The game was closer than the final score indicated too, Bama got some nice calls to go their way, then they ran up the score at the very end of the game with starters playing entire game.

Alabama fans must be humbled into saying their team doesn't deserve a free trip to the NC Game. Maybe they are the second best team. But their results from this year do not back up such a statement. Their chance to prove their worth ended in a loss, despite LSU playing arguably its worst game of the year, where turning the ball over and unable to score in the red zone became the hallmark of LSU's otherwise prolific offense.

To me, this game is more shameful than OK State going on the road to a decent Iowa State team and losing in 3OT after the refs made a questionable call on a OK State field goal that looked good on replays.

First of all, lol, no it didn't. And you're an idiot, Bama won by 3 touchdowns, Okie State lost, period.

Oh, and not that it matters as only a butthurt Okie State or delusional LSU fan would think this matters, but Bama didn't play all their starters all game, as their first, second, and third string nose tackles, among several other starters, did not play in the game at all.

Thanks for bumping your shite thread again though.

The more Alabama fans admit that they are at best on equal footing with Oklahoma State, the more they will realize why everyone outside of Alabama and the opinions Bama grads and friends of grads at ESPN thinks someone who is not Alabama should be given the opportunity to play LSU in the NC Game.

I'm glad that you are seeing more and more that Alabama is no where close to being a clear #2. I hope voters see the same this weekend.

The only people who are saying that are the knuckle dragging hicks like you on this message board. If you read the mainstream media, Bama is all but officially in the game. Oh right, those are just "friends of alums?" lol.

I sense your insecurity.

You Bama fans sound awfully similar to USC fans in 2003 when they were so sure they were going to the NC Game in the Sugar Bowl, they made sugar hats:
