No offense directed at our friends in Oxford but the SECrant would prefer to see Joey Freshwater at the helm in Auburn... I can see the epic trolling now... Given the rumors of The relationship between him and Saban etc etc it would make for at least 2-3 years of fun

Kiffin should stay in Mississippi and win 7 games a year for a decade. He’s never going to run a national championship program. What about his USC stint made you think he could? Luck into one like Ed O? Maybe but never consistent. He doesn’t work hard enough. Kind of like Mullen.

This is going to be really hilarious when lane just uses auburn for a raise and they end up with head coach Kevin Steele

Would be a terrible hire. Fun, but terrible.

He gets a bad reputation for what was actually a decent run at usc given the severity of the ncaa shitstorm they were under.

USC got hit harder than Alabama did back in the dark days before Saban

Dude massively overachieved year 2 and created impossible expectations for year 3 when they had no depth at all

It’s USC and the PAC 12. Every advantage they could have they do have. They were only down 10 scholarships his 3rd year and he did poor enough to be left on the tarmac. That would never happen to Saban, Dabo, or Urban. Those guys are the barometer. That’s who you have to beat.

Might as well keep the trend going.

As hard as I’ve been on Dan he’s infinitely better than the last two. He’s just so damn stubborn. 10 wins a year is progress for now. 2 or 3 more years of this will be a different conversation.

Kiffen is a much better coach than that, he can recruit and is a genius on offense, he will get a major program and do well

He didn’t at USC or Tennessee even though it was only a year. Was also fired by the Raiders, and had a worse record with his players than he did with the former coaches players at FAU. He’s a great play caller like Mullen but he has proven nothing in terms of program building and sustained success. It’s possible I guess though.

Why should we trust you when you can't even spell his name?

At this rate, Lane could potentially be the HC of every SEC team by the time he’s 70.

Didn't McElwain win 10, an East title and coach of the year and backed it up with another trip or two to ATL?

Well, that's complete bullshite. Due to attrition and losing 30 scholarships over 3 years, he was down over 20 scholarships in his third year. Over 30 by year 4.
