yeah, even I know who that is

NFL scouts and others know who Deandre Baker is.

Mel Kiper just put him in his Top 25 prospects at 10.

Champ has the name recognition because he was a great pro, but Baker might be a better pure CB

Champ Bailey was the 7th overall pick in the NFL Draft and won the Nagurski in 1998, 3x All Pro, 2x 2nd team All Pro and 12x Pro Bowler. He's the frickin NFL all-time leader in interceptions. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next season.

Baker is a fine player, but come on now.

Calvin Ridley torched the Saints today, but he was nowhere to be found in the NC game. That was Baker.

Doesn't matter anyway. Glad we had Champ too

He had 4 catches for 32 yards and 1 TD, mostly in the 2nd half when we actually put in a QB who could throw a forward pass. He didn't dominate (didn't need to because we had 5 other guys catching balls) but I wouldn't say he was "nowhere to be found".

Baker is a good player but saying he is probably better than a HOFer like Champ Bailey is silliness.

Is he the one Tua torched ?

No. He's the one that picked Tua off.

So...before the game, Hall was going to be uncoverable. After the game, 0 catches, he’s just a decoy.

Got it.

God you guys are insufferable.

Now you won't even admit he was hurt?

Since nobody wants to post it

4 rec 141 yards 2 TDs when healthy

He looked hurt but I think Baker can cover him anyway. It's O that's impossible to cover.

For the record, I'm not putting Baker in the same league as Champ. He is probably still the best corner in the SEC.

Haha, that was against an entirely different secondary. Nice edit.

Dude got entirely shut down. “Healthy” or not.

Now, you all abused us on the inside run game.

He was playing at about 40% and got 1 target...but ok.

That wasn’t the narrative all week.

No one targets Baker though so 40% or not it doesn’t matter.

We have a good case study of Tua putting 26 on your supposed great D in one half of football and two plays in overtime.

What more empirical data do you need?
