Not at all. This format is not as taxing on pitching staffs. There is no need for teams securely in the NCAAt field to wear out their pitching before the main tournament starts next Thursday.
Single elimination is the way to go moving forward. Less games, less chance for injuries, and less arms used for the teams with a bye and double bye. For Texas, Arkansas, LSU, and Vanderbilt, this will be just a normal weekend rotation to prep for the NCAA Regional round.

Maybe. We did get the W against Witherspoon when he started.. granted, he didn't last very long, but it still is true..
I don't really care if we beat Tennessee.. Bing should be able to beat (or start the game) against the #4 seed in our regional.

Jake Knapp is probably the best pitcher in the country (80ip, 11-0 in 13 starts)
He's probably the 2nd best pitcher in the SEC after Kyson Witherspoon which means he will probably shut Texas down tho

While Prager is the one for the entire season, Lamkin and Patton have been more impressive down the stretch.
Lamkin struck out 15 in his last game vs Georgia.
What it really comes down to is the top two guys in the bull pen. If Lamkin throws 8+ innings today, they will set us up nicely for the LSU game with Patton and a full bull pen.

Auburn is one of the best teams in the SEC this season.

The SEC Tournament is a great tool/opportunity to improve your lot if you need quality wins.
If you dont need the wins its a waste of time and resources.
