Which God?

The Elephant god Ganesha? The Blue Monkey god Hanuman?
Perhaps Allah, whose prophet stated that Jesus wasn't divine?
Or, perhaps, the god of the Christian Bible, who makes it crystal clear that gays and non-virgin women must be slaughtered?

I would just like some clarification on which god I need to believe in so something isn't wrong with me.

The great divide exists between what traditional religion is selling and what the Bible is telling. Your responsibility is to get it right.

I hate to get in the weeds with this...

I have no problem with Dawn Staley and her comments. In fact, amongst the recruiting base and fans... it is good to be a confessing Christian.

What I have a problem with is the guys on this thread who are patting her on the back for saying these things.

If there was a coach who was from a different religious persuasion who made a similar comments about their beliefs... These would be the same guys who would be telling them to "keep their beliefs to themselves"....

Yes, she actually does. She is a bitter racist.

Even racists can have a strong belief in God. Pehaps, you should research the Klan.

The concept of God is hard for me to embrace these days, but I salute her for being unapologetic about her beliefs.

Look at the Earth around you.

Look how perfect nature works when left unmolested.

I find it immpossible to believe it is all a random event generated by an exploding speck.

I mean at some point the good guys in this world are just going to have to take a stand and stop apologizing for what they believe in.

Yes so many Christians are apologizing for believing in God.

lol. If you believe your “good guys” are the ones having to play defense today, you are willingly not paying attention.

Imagine thinking someone is good or bad based on their faith or lack thereof.

Imagine humanoids thinking they are qualified to set the standard of right and wrong in the first place. Well. we don't really have to imagine that, do we?

The funniest thing I've ever experienced happened in church. God absolutely has a sense of humor.

I think the comment is funny, buddy Jesus is like don’t judge people. Famous Christian is judges people, sheep Christians are like “Hell Yeah!”

Fun times

"God is really, he's really funny,"

I’m sure the folks packed into the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau or trapped in the upper floors of 1WTC thought it was all pretty funny too. But I am glad a basketball team was able to overcome such tremendous adversity in the NCAA tournament the last couple of years.

Clearly God is in control of the important things.

She has a right to either believe in God or not. What she, others and I don’t have is the right to tell others what to believe or tell us something is wrong with us if we don’t believe like she does. I’m a Christian but it’s not any of Dawn Staley’s business to judge me or anyone else.

I mean, she's still a racist but maybe not beyond redemption.

“There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

We are all sinners...and none of us are beyond redemption...some of us just choose not to accept it.

What’s so perfect about it?

99.9% of all species that have existed on this Earth are extinct. And this planet would be a house of horrors for humans if it were not for technology. We have no fur, our children are helpless for years, there are hardly any wild animals we can kill with our bare hands, and 90% of Earth’s surface could kill a naked human at the wrong time of year.

This planet is brutal and always has been. Our prehistoric ancestors who survived the early days of our species were some tough motherfrickers. It sure wasn’t the Garden of Eden for them.
