Just an FYI, that’s when you know there’s no guarantee of an actual upgrade out there.

This is also something people say every time someone suggests replacing a good coach.

Again, it's weird that you guys can't just let someone have their opinion. You just gotta make sure you get the last word in, huh?

There is never a guarantee.

Upgrading from Chad Morris should have been an easy no brainer, but there we were with a career position O-line coach getting his first shot at the twilight years of his career.

Its worked out so far, but at the time of the hire it was anything but a guarantee of being better and that is really pathetic on Hunter's part.

You know who was suppose to be the guarantee at the time of the hire? DVH and two decades later he still hasn't won dick.

Coming from an Ole Miss fan: y'all's failures seem to be from players fricking up more than anything. 2018 dropped foul ball. 2021 maybe riding Kopps a little too long, but he only had 1 bad pitch.

Our issues seemed completely ingrained in our approach to the game. We would get fricking demolished in supers. We lost to Tennessee Tech in our own regional. Y'all have been in Omaha 3 times as much as we have with DVH. You sound like us without any of the actual pain of thinking you're amazing and just getting straight up destroyed in game 3 of a super.

And it's not like y'all played bad besides the Monday game, but he made a good bet going against our lefty heavy lineup. It basically worked 2/3 times.

This isn't the meme of saying "lol give him an extension." I legit think DVH is a great coach and will win one. It just has to all come together.

On both cases Arkansas had a 1-0 series lead, then lost back to back.

Still waiting on what DVH's frickup in 2018 was. He's clearly the reason we didn't win so what was it?

God forbid you have to actually discuss your opinion with points and references.

Literally no one is saying you can't have your opinion, but it's also well within their right to say your opinion is stupid.

That was once. In 20 years, man. He isn't going to be around for another 20 years. As I said, the trend is clear. 2018 was an outlier.

Fire up your dvd of game three vs Oregon state to see the difference in managing a game trying win vs managing a game trying not to lose.

Then compare to game 1 vs ole miss this year.

You never win when your trying not to lose.

It is also well within my rights to call you a petty cocksucker, but I don't do that because it isn't cool.

And this is also true.

I suppose you didn't understand what I meant by "established track record" and "trend."

I'm not surprised.

Yeah I've really hated making it to Omaha more and more frequently.

Johnson earns 220k per year.

DVH is paid 1.25 million
Bianco 1.2 million
Schlossnagle $1.41 million

That was the final four teams.

Who had the worst ROI?

Look I understand the frustration as an Ole Miss fan. But you have one of the best in DVH. Not sure his team should have gotten to Omaha this year. Certainly did last year. But patience me a second while I list a few Supers. Texas, Miami, Virginia, Virginia (again), Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas and I’m sure I’m leaving some off. Those are all Siper Regional losses. You can’t win a title unless you know the formula for getting to Omaha. DVH knows the formula. In my humble opinion it is only a matter of time. He will win it all.

With Mike we are beyond where we should be. Maybe he took a “we don’t belong, therefore we’ve nothing to lose” approach. Who really knows? But I’d rather have a guy get us to Omaha 7 times as opposed to 2 times since I was in my 20s. I’m in my damned 50s now. Be careful about dumping a winner only to lose down the road. Wichita State?

Wichita state hired a DVH assistant and haven't been the same since. Seems only a plane crash has caused more devastation to one of their programs.
