Confirmed that UF is looking at Chip Kelly as next head coach. Decision could be as soon as this week. Also heard that Florida was becoming very frustrated with Jimmy Sexton, who represents many other potential candidates. Chip is represented by David Dunn.

I said from the jump, Chip Kelly and UF would be scary. Think of all that speed the state produces.

Get assistants who do, and let your offense be your recruiting. Would be an interesting experiment for sure. Boom or Bust.

You don't really have to sell recruits on UF as much as you do Oregon, so that shouldn't worry you. And he seems to get assistants that recruit pretty well.

Ditching Sexton clients is the way to go. He's a cancer.

If he can get some coordinators who are good recruiters, he might not have to do a whole lot. Just meet with the kids on official visits.

Well he probably wont have to put much effort into it at UF. That offense in that state of talent - recruits itself.

I doubt anyone likes recruiting, kissing the asses of a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds isn't exactly fun. It is easier at UF if you have a reputation to rely on and a quality staff. Mac didn't have either at the start and suffered, but then hired a strong recruiting staff and the recruiting was considerably improved and more UF-like.

Make Florida great again. It's getting boring seeing the once mighty Gators suck.

Well if this happens we'll see. Really don't think this is the gig for Kelly, but he's a big boy.

But a whole lot of crazy he never had to think about at Oregon could be headed his way, from boosters and politics, to nutcase recruits.

Darren isnt getting this from Stricklin. He has some contacts but he’s not that connected, no matter how much he wants to be.
