Those are 4 years of the same offense. Weirdly, 2018 is 10 PPG better and 1.33 YPP better than the 2nd best year. I can't figure out why.

I can. We went through the same thing 18 years ago with "stats" when we converted to a spread offense too. You know.....those offenses you SEC fans have called "gimmicky" for over a decade.

So now it's because it just took us half a decade to really get all the spread players in who aren't actually BETTER than the 2013 players they are just better at the spread offense (which, by the way, is probably 70% the same offense we ran in 2012/2013, years in which we almost never went out of any formation other than the Pistol or Shotgun).

Got it.

No it's because Tua is your first legit spread QB. Got it?\

And shotgun and pistol don't mean "spread offense" either. Understand?

Oh, so we are better equipped talent wise to score points than we were in 2013.

Good to know.

Homey, Bama has been at the top of the recruiting world since Saban has been there. You are not "more talented". You've been the most "talented" for years. You're using that talent differently. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

I'll tell you what, Ace. Since Bama fans are now spread offense experts with superior knowledge to fanbases in the conference that started it all, and have watched it for years, I'm going to make some predictions.

1. Kliff Kingsbury will be the next OC at USC.
2. They will immediately become a top 10 offense.
3. It will be with the same talent they have now.
4. Whoever their QB is will be a Heisman candidate.
5. It won't be because "they're all NFL players" anymore than it is at Washington St., Texas Tech, West Virginia, OU, or any other spread offense bastion.

Bookmark all of those predictions and watch then unfold one by one.

Bookmarked, but I will ad one more prediction

6. No Big 12 team running the spread will ever win the national title....

A Big 12 team running the spread already won 2 national titles. OU in 2000, and Texas in 2005. Wake up, fool.

How many national titles has that offense won? Compare that to the teams that run the "traditional" offenses.....

But you can stay happy with your team running the spread all you want. I would just assume you would want to win titles.

You realize that certain positions ebb and flow in talent, right? Even for Alabama. We haven't recruited the #1 classes of WRs or QBs during this run (that generally goes to USC or Georgia or someone).

Our QBs before Tua were a 3-star, 3-star, 4-star, 3-star RB, 3-star transfer and 4-star.

We've almost always had 1 elite, NFL receivers (Julio, Coop, Ridley), a decent small slot receiver (Maze, Jones, Ardarius) and a bunch of blockers. This is evident by the draft. This year we have 1 elite, NFL receiver (Jeudy) and 2-3 guys that "most writers who are apparently dumb and just SEC idiots" seem to think are NFL caliber WRs (Ruggs, Waddle, maybe Smith).

We had our first elite TE 2 years ago with OJ Howard (who was a freshman in 2013), and now we have another with Irv Smith.

We've always had an "elite" running back or more.

If you had asked us in 2013 if our receiving corp was elite we would have told you no, that it had 1 elite guy and 1-2 pretty good college players. This is the first year ever that we have said we have great wide receivers.

But wait........you're a spread offense too. And you've won national titles with it. And you've lost national titles to it. You know that, right?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

We were running 100% air-raid in 2000 dumbass. Leach installed it in 1999.

Texas was running a spread zone-read offense in 2005 with Vince Young, you fool.

Tell me more about my own team and my conference.

Nope, and Alabama has lost 1 national title game since 1974
while winning 8

Your conference has lost just about every NC game they have played in save two in the last 20+ years....

Your conference can not even make it to the finals in the College Football Playoff....

Your conference is an afterthought in college football....

I'm quite certain that Gary Danielson can describe the smell of the inside of Tua's jock strap based purely on personal knowledge.

You were a spread offense LAST year, dumbass. And you will be a spread offense permanently going forward.

Wanna know what happens next?

Since the SEC Bell Cow program is now a spread offense juggernaut, the rest of your entire league will swiftly follow suit to keep up. Half of them already are. And once that happens? Bye-bye defensive reputation.
