I think he's also somewhat trying to give UGA credit for people who say, "it was just one game" regarding UGA giving Alabama their best game all season. UGA is not one of the "finesse teams" he's talking about that may be able to beat Alabama on a given day but are built to compete throughout an SEC season.

I think they are. Maybe even 11 or 12.
Maryland just about beat Ohioan State the other day. Ok State nearly beat Oklahoma and did beat West Virginia.
Sometimes, as with the SEC, there's no rhyme or reason to explain how these games turn out.
In the end, Texas is LOADED with talent. Check their recruiting rankings. Their issue is with coaching, but its getting better in a hurry.

I think I probably agree with you, OU person, although I'd argue a "down" year for SEC strength of schedule merely brings us to the level the Big 12/Big 10 operate on every year.
On your list, UGA says (outstanding win) - meaning what? That beating them is outstanding (like LSU) or that they have an outstanding win?

It's true. The consensus on the Bama board is that OU will score somewhere between 200-300 (points, not yards) on us...

They think our defense is just as trashy as a Big 12 defense.
