I know the SEC fan base doesn’t care about this kind of stuff, but the B1G will only invite AAU schools. I don’t see that changing.

Uh.... Nebraska isn't an AAU University...

They lost their AAU status in 2011 about the same time they were invited to the B10...

NU lost their membership 10 months after being admitted into the B1G.
The only non-AAU school ever considered by the B1G was ND and they weren’t exactly an academic slouch.

They would've been better fits than the last 2 and new 2.

The SEC has 0.000% interest in Virginia. We don’t care what their endowment is. This is about football. They suck.

Big Ten temporarily benefited from CBS getting caught thinking they could continue to lowball the SEC. But no one should doubt that the SEC will win the financial battle long term. Why? Because they’ve always recognized it is an athletics conference and not an academic alliance. They’ve made money move instead of cultural affinity moves. In the long run that’s going to win out in a market place for live sports eyeballs.

I actually think this is a moot point. I doubt that FSU gets out of their GoR deal with the ACC. I expect them to lose in court and slither back to the conference they're already in, several million in legal fees poorer.

FSU has handled conference realignment very poorly, by overestimating their value and running their mouths repeatedly, making enemies in their own back yard. And they keep doubling down. Everything they do comes off as arrogant, foolish or desperate. I really don't see this ending well for them.

Mike Norvell is probably thinking about which SEC powerhouse will have a job opening next.

Bull shite. FSU has a national appeal developed over the years of playing a National schedule. The traveled to the Colosseum to play USC, ND, multiple B1G schools, OU, Nebraska when they were great. They went to Pitt and played Dan Marino. FSU has a national draw, especially when they are good. Hell, I bet only Bama and Uga put up better numbers than the Noles this year.
The ACC is doomed. The SEC will have to then decide do they allow the B1G in Florida or not. AAU, I have a friend who is a UF Professor, FSU Alum. He says they are much closer to AAU membership than the talking heads realize.

FSU and North Carolina would be good additions to me, but like has been said, no one is getting invited unless it boosts the pot for everyone. But geography matters to me and those are the two teams I'd like to see and they'd also seem to bring the most value media wise.

Please take FSU off our hands. Tired of their we’re too good for our adoptive family shtick.
Sincerely,
ACC

FSU isn't far from UGA and Alabama. What are you talking about? That would help FSU to raid top players from the State of UGA and Alabama.

We could trade some our weaker football school like Vandy, Auburn, and Tennessee for them.
