Kudos to Vol Nation for applying the pressure.
Schiano knew just like JoePa and a host of others. Another poster referenced Ray Gricar on a thread earlier.. that PState situation runs deeper than what already meets the eye.
Give Schiano a half mil fir his “troubles” and tell him to stfu, he is every bit as guilty as the rest of those POS who enabled the travesty over decades.

this isn't court. It was public opinion by a fan base.
Good thing is, he has a court system to seek justice should he choose to.

Tennessee fans still do not understand the issue here.....
You never gave the guy a chance....
Who knows what he could have done in Knoxville.
If the Vols act like this they may never get a quality coach again.
They may have to go get David Cutcliffe.

I agree that any coach worth a damn would steer clear.
I posted this very thing earlier.

This all boils down to McQueary's credibility.
The government found him so credible, that it made him their star witness in several criminal trials. All of which the government won.
He was also found to be credible in a whistle-blower lawsuit against Penn State in which he also won.
The guy is batting a 1.000 in court. I take his word over the words of all of the rape enablers in State College.

Schiano won’t go near a court room on this topic.. he’s going to burn in hell, but why risk further exposure while on earth.
frick him and I hope UT does the same.

Not a TN fan, which begs the question...

Seriously...why have none of those highly lawyered up victims ever implicated Schiano?
But don't let common sense get in the way of your idiocy.

"But don't let common sense get in the way of your idiocy."
Yeah BamaGrad, please enlighten those of us in the other 49 states on what constitutes "common sense" in reference to pedophilia and the standards we should use for determining one's qualifications, be it for a college coaching job or a senatorial seat.
LOL...

Typical Missouri fricking shithead. You really are one dumb son of a bitch if you think there's a dime's worth of difference between Jones, Franken, Conyers, Trump, either Clinton, and Ted Kennedy.
Are you really so fricking stupid as to think we don't know that you wouldn't vote to keep your own favorite abuser/enabler in office just because you agreed with their politics?
Seriously...your comment just proves that you literally have shite for brains. Don't just drop your snide comment and run off like a bitch. Stick around and make your case and tell me where I'm wrong. You're just as big a piece of shite as what you accuse Moore's supporters of being.
Not to mention the fact that you're fricking stupid enough to assume I'm a Moore supporter...or even an Alabama resident, for that matter.

The idea that every child or witness has come forward is laughable. We know that it is very likely there are other children who were raped by Sandusky that have not said a word. Same goes for witnessses. What do people expect Bradley and Schiano to say? Yes we saw or knew of a guy who was Homosexually raping kids but didn’t do anything. Come on people. Use logic on this. What do Bradley and Schiano have to lose or pay for if this came to light? What does Mike McQuery gain by dragging them into this? Nothing. There were people up at Penn State who knew this was going on and did nothing including that POS Joe Paterno.

All these years of life in the trailer park, wrong end of life & you still haven’t figured out you are as dumb as a 9 iron?
Would you sue the third shift deep fryer at KFC for serving you the fried rat or would you sue the corporation?
“I wouldn’t sue, fried rats good eatin’” is not a viable answer by the way.

Dan Wetzel will get destroyed when this hits the rest of the media. He's defending a man associated with child rape. The sports world is about to get woke.

No chance. Taking an offramp on a potential business deal does not constitute defamation of character. Nor did anyone associated with UT accuse Schiano of anything. They just said "Thanks, but no thanks."
The wisdom of UT's decision can be debated, but those who say Schiano was hurt or damaged in any way are reaching. He has no basis to pursue any legal action.

Really.
He could go to court. He has never, under oath testified he told no one.
If I remember right, he never even said that. In 2011, he thought it best "not to comment". In 2016, when his name appeared, he denied it, via twitter after not returning calls from the press initially.
By the way, John Doe 101 testified that between 1988-1990 multiple coaches walked in on him (the child) and Sandusky in the locked coaches shower rooms. Sandusky instructed the kids to play it off like they were wrestling (kids from his charity organization.)
So yeah there has been no trial for any of this, but here are some facts. A. This was occurring in the locked shower rooms for coaches only from at least 88 until the mid 90's. B. Schiano was there as a grad assistant before his promotion in 91 to defensive back coach. There would certainly be a limited number of people with access to the locked shower facilities of the coaches at PSU.
The fact that in a deposition, McQuery said he was told Schiano reported seeing something similar lines up with the timeline. The location was also correct. It is a known fact this is one of the locations Sandusky did this.
You may not think that is enough to charge a guy, but would you want him as the face of your program?

Example of the media just being contrarians. Tennessee hires Schiano and every media outlet tomorrow, including Wetzel, would be destroying Tennessee.
There is always a story to sell. Two sides to every story. Vols made the right choice with what little information we know.
