Mullen is an excellent coach and gets more with less than any coach I can remember. There’s not a player less than a four star on Bamas front 7 and he designed and called up beautiful run plays that gashed Bamas front all night. Bama had no answer.

Our O-line is filled with 3 star projects this year. To manhandle a Bama d-line with the talent they have is crazy.

He still needs to recruit better for more consistency though. Our o-line was trash the last few years.

Also I'm pretty sure Tuscaloosa dreams about Mullen every night in his sleep.

Top end success? Maybe not, maybe he improves.

It’s a TBD. UFs floor with Mullen based on 3 years, and based on this year so far is being a NY6 Bowl Team.

Not a lot of HCs I would fire him for, if that's saying anything. I never believed in firing a HC just for change.

You guys did this to macelwain after winning the east twice.

And the fact that he can’t or won’t do more with more is why he is only an above average HC

This might tell us more about this years Bama defense than it does Mullen’s coaching prowess

0-11 vs Saban.

This is such a lazy take every time this topic is brought up.

Who has had success against Saban?

If we're basing a HCs worth on wins against Saban its gonna be a short list.

Alabama has its highest ever talent under Saban this year based on the 247 Talent Composite.

People are just looking to trash Mullen at this point.

When he stops inciting fights, wearing a Walmart Halloween costume during his press conference, and saying his last game was the SEC championship just after he got boat raced by 30 points the game after the SEC championship.

Then I still wouldn’t respect that nerdy POS

They have the best every year. Their problem this year is their QB isn’t as good. They lost a lot from last year.

Did people watch the game?

Bryce Young played brilliantly. UF just made it difficult because of the pressure that they got from the front 4, with some blitzes.

You’re saying he’s better than what they’ve had? Not in my opinion.

True freshman making his very first road start in the Swamp's biggest game in over 2 years?

Yeah he was impressive.

Florida frankly was helped a little by some of BOB's playcalling, but overall, Young played well given how much he was under pressure from UF's front 4.

I legitimately don’t understand why Mullen gets credit for all these moral victories especially when they usually come because his teams start slow. They never even held a lead against Bama in two years and the fan base is like “oh wow we lost by 6 last year and 2 this year! We’re getting better!” I find it fascinating.

Talent doesn’t equate experience or scheme fit. I’m not saying Florida doesn’t have a threatening offense (they do) but this Bama defense doesn’t appear to be as dominant as past iterations. Both intimations can be true
