I thought Mullen loved State, yet here he is trying to leave the first chance he gets.

Well he just turned one job down, and has been in Starkville for 7 years. I wouldn't say this is his first chance.

he is weighing his options. he has taken miss st to heights they haven't been. he is losing the best player he has ever coached. they won't be as good without him. he knows that and he knows people will expect similar success, which isn't reasonable, and he is seeing just seeing what is out there.

Well the only reason he still has a job is because of Dak... he kept them above water and he knows it. Jts all downhill for them now and hes trying to go where he can survive for the forseeable future

We could very well win the same number of games next year with Fitz or Staley. The schedule sets up better and we are in good shape at qb.

Dang lady, you guys sure do seemed to be obsessed with Mullen/MSU? What's the deal, do you blame him taking the HC job at State for Urban no longer being able to hack it in the SEC or something?

That's why he wants to leave State. Without Dak State doesn't make a bowl game.

One thing is for sure. He will be on the hot seat after losing in Oxford and going 1-4 against Freeze. Their fan base will not tolerate that.

Seems like we have this thread every year yet Dan never leaves.

He isn't going to go coach at a lesser program for less money and his seat isn't even warm.
