It's moo st. It's the doormat of the sec west. I don't mean that in a mean way, I mean it in a sincere way. Miss st is always gonna be the bottom dweller in the west. Sure there will be years when they have a decent year and someone else has a down one but for the most part this what it's gonna be like. And you really can't hope for a much better coach than what you have.
Face it, we have you for baseball and Kentucky for basketball, and you are both the bottom of your divisions in football.

Western Kentucky handled UK better than we did. And I'm not even going to grace that Bowling Green comment with a response.

There's a savior only a state away who's a native son of MS and a better coach & recruitier.
I was told that Hudspeth has his sights on bigger fish than State, and Im not sure he'd recruit any better than Dan is doing currently.

Been working my arse off, not everybody has the time to post on here 24/7 like some of your guys.
For someone who averages over 850 posts a month, this is a very ironic statement.

wow..comparing your teams lousy performance at home Vs UK to what the other teams are doing is going to win you a lot of browny points with your fellow dawg fans. I would be pissed if my high profile coach could only beat UK by 7 with their new coaching staff.

by who? the feeling in lafayette is that his eyes have been on state for three years now. and are you serious? Dan is a fricking atrocius recruiter. Our only real signs of life recruiting wise were during Ole Miss' 2-10 disaster and Brewster's work.

I can be angry without having a desire to fire him. You have to do the best with what you have. Yes, it is difficult to recruit to Starkville. We coach dumb with the players that we have. Uninspired, sleep walking teams piss me off. That's on the coaches.

I was told that Hudspeth is very high up on the list of coaches to replace Spurior at South Carolina.

But we WON last night, thats what I don't get.
South Carolina beats Kentucky by 7 at home its not big deal, we win by 6 at home and people want our coach fired.

so why would recruiting to starkville be any different then stay fayeteville. Ark is a lot smaller state. Recruiting to Boise can't be easy. Boise is not close to any hot recruiting bed.

Arky has Texas and Oklahoma among other states in the midwest to pick from. Boise is the premiere school in its region.

Because Boise & Fayetteville aren't in Mississippi.
That's not a jab; it's the reality.

Boise isn't recruiting against the LSUs Bamas and Auburns of the world.
Arkansas' recruiting is similar to ours if you look at our classes over the past 5 years.

Spurrier has like 5 more years at least.
Hud will have a good job by then.

So I'm to my question, Is Dan Mullen getting unfairly criticized? Im trying to be an optimist, we were one play away from beating Auburn and being 5-2.
Our 3 losses are to 3 top 15 teams in Oklahoma State, Auburn, and LSU.
I think Dan has one of the toughest if not THE toughest job in the SEC havin to play Bama, A&M, Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss every year.
Agree with the fact he is getting unfair criticism. He is a good coach and is doing well at MSU. He is winning the ones he should and losing to much more talented teams. It would not be wise for MSU to piss him off. He jumps ship to a program where he does not have to constantly compete against more talented teams (SEC west is obviously the toughest place to play in the country right now) he would probably win big.
