Rebelgator, I respect you as a poster. No need for these types of shenanigans. I'm not saying anything about the Ole Miss game this weekend, I'll let you keep it among yourselves but you have to admit that his body of work is pretty remarkable considering the fact he is the H.C. of Mississippi State.

By his 4th season at Michigan State, Saban had several signature wins under his belt. He beat a top 10 Michigan team in his first year, crushed a top 5 Penn State team by 35 points in '97, annihilated a top 10 Notre Dame team by jumping out to a 42-3 halftime lead and beat #1 Ohio State in Columbus in 1998. Name me all the wins Mullen has that compares to those type of wins.

Your premise is absofrickinglutely ridiculous. Mullen can't coach. Saban can.

This years "success" is a product of a weak schedule. Look what he did against actual competition.

I just wonder if he will follow like Saban and jump to a better school. I know he's "here for the long run" but It is easier to win ballgames when you have the talent to do so.

I think you have forgotten where State was before Mullen. He took a terrible QB in Tyson Lee w/ backup Relf and beat 9-3 Ole Miss.

In 2010 he almost defeated Cam Newton 14-17, Beat Georgia, won at Florida, and defeated Michigan while finishing 9-4.

This year he will turn in possibly his best year ever with 10 wins and 3 losses. This is unheard of considering the history of State. Even Michigan State was a better destination in the 90's than when Mullen took over in 09.

Technically, anywhere he went would be a better school.

meh, this is really dumb. Seriously, ANY fresh coach getting reasonable success could have glory in the future but it's impossible to speculate now.

By running the same play over and over. Tyrone Nix is an idiot.

If that AU game was towards the end of the year instead of the 2nd or 3rd game they would've been destroyed. That was the worst UF team since Zook. Richt gonna Richt.

He managed this with the easiest schedule in college football and got throughly dismantled by any team with a pulse.
