There's always two sides to a story. Maybe Saban hadn't talked to him in a while and the relationship had grown toxic.

There sure has been a lot of turnover at Alabama, and we've seen the public lashings he's given his assistants and the way he won't allow them to speak to the media. Control freak. Look at Gattis comments, and Sarkisian jumping ship after one game.

Enos isn't getting another P5 gig if he's the bag of shite you're saying he is.

I have no idea what happened, its not like I was there when it all went down after all. I'm pretty sure you weren't either.

Dan Enos has a reputation as a pretty stand up guy in the coaching fraternity so I am inclined to think he didn't just pack his things in the middle of the night and leave town.

Saban had been hinting maybe Enos would be the new OC, and maybe he wouldn't, and that went on for weeks. That's not exactly the best spot to be put in for a guy like Dan Enos. He was stuck waiting for Saban to make up his mind at what would have been the best time for Enos to test the market for a future job.

People are having a tizzy over Enos disrespecting Saban by not having a man to munchkin talk with him about Enos leaving for Miami. Saban has disrespected his assistants for years though and no one blinks about that. If you want people to respect you as a person then it behooves you to not act like an a-hole.

So you'd leave your job one day and just not show up the next morning? I hope your employer doesn't know your TD screen name

What's really strange (I completely agree with you by the way) is that he would leave so quickly and without hesitation, given what Bama brings back on offense. Tua and the boys are gonna put on a show next year to the tune of 45-50 average ppg. Idk good luck to the guy

Which is why the massive coaching turnover (more than usual), more Juniors declaring after a prison rape type game, has a different feel to it. Doesn't seem "business as usual"

Do you think Saban mistreated the guy who coached Tua to within knats arse of winning the Heisman and drastically improved Jalen's game? He was about to be promoted to offensive coordinator. That doesn't sound like mistreatment to me.

Bottom line is that Enos was afraid to break the news so instead of manning up, he slipped out the back when no one was looking. It was a testament to his character or lack thereof.

Sooooo.... Saban has long been known as a guy that pretty much treats everyone like dirt.... yet when someone does it to him they are trash?

I've been to Bama for a coaches clinic... Saban talks down to everyone... you know that gets old.
I personally don't blame Enos one bit.
surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Thanks

If you ask me the op is trash for saying someone else is trash without real personal knowledge of the situation.

It doesn't happen more often because somebody who does this is trash. Saban has probably had well over 100 coaches leave for other jobs throughout his career, and this is the first time (that I know of) something like this has happened. So despite your personal opinions on what it's like to work for him (of which you have no clue), the fact that Enos is the only coach to leave like this either says that he's trash or the other 100+ are just the most standup men you'll ever come across.

Hey snowflake, it’s called being a professional. Enos showed a real lack of class and professionalism. Even if you don’t like your boss, you should be professional on your exit.

Saban did the same thing to Miami. The night before he took the Alabama job he said "I will not be the next head coach at Alabama".

The night before?

Also he didn't do the same thing. He met with his boss to tell him he was leaving. Completely, unequivocally not the same thing.

Y'all couldn't kiss Dan's arse hard enough when he turned Tua into the best passer in Alabama history and because he might have had a tiff with Saban he's now trash?

Lets discuss treating someone in a trashy manner shall we? Say you tell someone, "Hey, you are going to get a big promotion. We will work out the details later." Now that guy has a ton of job offers from other people but waits for you to work out the details like you said you would.

So he waits. And he waits. And you start talking about maybe hiring someone else for that position instead and all the time this is happening those other job offers are drying up left and right.

If you do this, then you are trash. You are screwing this guy out of opportunities and leaving him twisting in the wind. If it sounds familiar that is just what Saban was doing to Enos.

Saban farted around and farted around and Enos took another job. Maybe there was a mixup and Saban didn't get the memo Dan was leaving. Or maybe Dan didn't feel like having the little shrimp throw a temper tantrum at him like he did the other coach that left. Maybe Dan was worried he'd lose his temper and kick Saban's midget arse all over the room like a bouncy ball.

Y'all can cry and moan that Dan Enos hurt Nick Saban's feelings all you want, but Saban brought this down on himself. If you don't want people to treat you like garbage, a good first step is not to treat them like garbage.
