Wow. GT was 5-7 last season. Florida was 6-7.

What does that say about Florida?

That Florida is down?

Your fellow Dawg fans have been telling us that GT is a dead program for a while now but I guess that's not a convenient opinion for this thread.

Yes, it is, so what? The Gators play FSU every year and also in state rivals like Miami. LSU seems to have a problem with FSU that the Gators don't have. What is the record, 2-8?
I am hoping that I moves to 3-8 on Sunday.

If GT is bottom 3 then I would say Florida is WAAAAAY down, wouldn't you?

I can't speak for anybody but me. It was a Gator who claimed that they were a bottom 3 program.

Nobody here is going to bite on you judging a program on a single season. Might as well move on to a new approach.

Florida is way down relative to the success with Meyer and Spurrier, no doubt. However, UF is still a healthier program overall than GT, although that's starting to depart from the scope of this discussion.

A bit exaggerated for my taste as well but let's not lose sight of the fact that this is really about comparing fsu and GT. Do you think those programs should be mentioned in the same breath?

UF is always at the top in strength of schedule

Everyone in the SEC does. We do it every year too and traditionally UF has added significantly to our and everybody else’s SOS. Hasn’t stopped anyone else from going out of state.

In a world where schools schedule way too many cupcakes why the hell are you bitching about more marquee games? I’ve actually grown tired of us going into NC. I would love if we had a chance to go to Utah.

It won’t be for a while but we do have VT and you guessed it, Miami, scheduled for the future. I’m actually worried those will get canceled they’re so far away. Would love to see them sooner.

You're writing this as though it means something, though.

What magic happens when you cross a state line?

Exactly. They've played a couple NC schools. Are we supposed to be impressed they traveled to ECU?

You know, you Georgia retards keep laughing at LSU and say we're living in history over the 2019 team, but your "P5" opponent's signature bowl game was almost a decade ago, and they've only bowled twice since then.

The topic is UF's schedule since 1991. Why would I not include Tech's history vs Vanderbilt over that time? You made a retarded statement and I gave proof saying otherwise.

Tulane is a better program than Georgia Tech.
Now you're just going full retard.

Do what? Y'all claimed that GT is a bottom 3 program. I merely pointed out that their record was remarkably similar to Florida's last season. If you can't handle that fact then that's on you, not me. I am not trolling. I am merely pointing out facts.

If you want to show me where I said something incorrect have at it.

I never argued differently. I merely pointed out that right now Florida is apparently way down since their record was barely better than a program y'all claim is a bottom 3 program.

GT has more National Championships than FSU, so yes.

You can't claim that Florida gets a pass because they are down and then hammer GT as insignificant because they are down.

All of that said....I do believe that both Florida and FSU is in better shape than GT is right now. But if we are going to rely on past titles to rank a team then GT is better historically than both FSU and Florida.

ETA
THIS is what caught my eye:

This has more to do with the fact that Georgia's OOC rival is one of the 3 worst P5 programs rather than a program that has won a NC in the past 10 years

ETAA
I would also go on record to say I think it is stupid for people to go crazy about somebody's OOC record. Playing FSU every year makes your OOC schedule legit, I don't care how far you have to travel for the game. Do others on here think it is more legit to travel and play Georgia State than to not travel and play FSU? They are being dumb.....but it doesn't make it alright for some random Florida poster to be just as dumb.

Yeah, don’t see why this is a big deal. Why should teams schedule long trips away out of conference?

Because dogshit OOC scheduling is why TV execs are destroying the sport.
