I heard Mcnese state is almost as good as Kent State.
LSU lost to 3 to 4 in state teams midweek in 2023 and 2025. Tennessee still sucks

I think Oregon State was a nationally ranked team
To be clear. I’ve followed baseball since well before 2018, so a national seed is a top 8 team to me and always will be. Don’t care about the terminology for the youngsters.
And Oregon State sucks.
That being said I was wrong on both those so I’ll duck out before I take any more “L’s” and see yall Friday ??

How badly did LSU beat 2-5 McNeese State at home?

And just like that, baseball now matters to LSU obsessed crapdalton.

and we lost 2 in state game in 2009 mid week. We won the national title once again.

Bloody Tuesday for the SEC. I expect this will be mostly papered over by one team. Not so sure about the other two, either way you eventually need a fourth starter unless you think you’ll never lose a game in the post season. That goes for everyone, undefeated or not.

most teams don't have a 3rd, much less a 4th starter. yeah, you need guys to step up in the postseason, but having 4 bona fide starters on a college baseball team just doesn't happen. Most teams hope to have 2 solid starters and they piece together Sundays

You’d like to have three good starters and Tuesday can be an adventure while you find who else you have. It’s rare you have four good starters, but you need to find a third that can get you through five or six and fourth that can approach that.
If you lose one game in the CWS then your fourth starter is pitching in a season defining game.

Sure, you'd like to have that but the reality today is that having a legitimate third starter is a massive luxury, not to even mention a fourth starter.

what? no they didnt . one or maybe 2. Last year we lost to northwestern. I dont think we lost to another in state and if we did it wasnt more than one more. we lost to la tech in the regular season either 2023 or 2024

LSU had a third starter pitch into the 6th inning like twice last year and won the national title. Same story in 2023. No, you don't need 3 pitchers who can do that, and certainly not a 4th

in 2023, when LSU was in the loser's bracket, we threw a bullpen game in an elimination game against Wake and won. if you're in the losers bracket, yeah guys have to step up and stretch out longer than they have all season, but saying you need to have 3, preferably four starting pitchers is just not reality. It's incredibly rare to have 3 starters that can give you 6 innings most weekend.
