if my screenname was meant to honor the man, I would have used Ben Pitchfork Tillman because that is more colorful name for him.

Saban inherited bama killed by probation for like 8 years.. way more damage than most probations... Albert Means story comes out in 2000 bama immediately killed in recruiting... Probation decision not decided til 02 03...USC stories came out recruiting fine stayed fine.. people didn't believe NCAA would do anything

Dabo has been advocating for the BOT to distance itself from Ben Tillman for some time. It is about the only thing that they have denied him. It will change sooner rather than later as it should.

I don't have a problem with it being changed. To me it makes more sense to name it after Thomas Clemson given he's the real founder and his statue sits out in front of the building.
