Lets come back to this at end of year.

Btw, you are an idiot. I will absolutely take Dabo's "lack of success" and short shelf life.

How stupid of a post.

How many championships has Saban won since Kirby left Bama?

How many championships has Kirby won since leaving Saban?

That's a funny way to say he's 4-1 against nick saban with the lone victory being a rematch against a depleted roster. Also are we including the 2015 championship when DeSean Watson and a ragtag group of three stars spanked Kirbys arse so bad nick pulled Kirbys defense to the side and put the game in the hands of an onside kick?

If your brain no make smart smart it is

In the real world the expression "a poor man's....." is used to convey two things being similar but of different quality. Here's an example even an uga fan can understand. Michigan is the poor man's uga. That doesn't mean uga is the poor man's Michigan. It means they have similar tendencies but one is of way lesser quality(Michigan)

It’s not a “poor man’s, it’s considered “budget friendly “, and I will take it!

What Dabo Swinney is as a coach is a great motivator and recruiter.

But he's not a good on-field coach. He never made it past WR coach in his career.

This means he's more dependent upon coordinator hires than most coaches are. Layne Kiffin will run a good offense no matter who he hires as OC. Kirby Smart will run a good defense.

What Dabo did EXCEPTIONALLY well at Clemson was keep his good coordinator hires for a long time. Brett Venables was at Clemson for 10 seasons. Tony Elliot for 7.

Both are gone now. His follow up hires/promotions from within haven't worked so far.

The good news for Clemson fans is that if/when he does find some more great coordinators, he may be able to keep them a long time (longer than most head coaches). The bad news is that he hasn't proven he can find them consistently yet. He may have just gotten lucky.

I don't think "poor man" is the right term.

Kirby is a younger Nick Saban. At similar ages/points in their career, Kirby is well ahead of where Saban was and will probably end up costing a lot more over his career.

Dabo is Jimbo with a longer shelf life.

Since Dabo's string of elite status lasted longer, this would mean Dabo is of different better quality. But it appears their elite status as coaches have both expired.

WTH are you talkign about? Tell the truth, are you Jim or Larry?

It was a rhetorical question. And I just explained to you that it is the same thing.

Amazing how NIL has caused some regression to the mean with some of these coaches. Now that everyone can pay players, the ones that were doing it previously don’t look as great.
