Allowing student athletes to profit through NIL should not mean schools either directly or indirectly buying the players.
Too much of anything unchecked is a bad thing. Let the kids make money, but reign in the outright purchase of them by schools, and their foundations.

FYI, I spent quite a bit of time in Greenville, contracting with Lockheed out at Donaldson Air Park. Greenville is quite the nice city, by the way. Love their downtown and park.
That noted, their radio station, is loaded with these people. Even the hosts don't speak English well. Rednecks galore.
We get criticized for Gumps, but I promise you, the Clemson fans (some of them, anyway) take hillbillyism to a whole new level.
