I've always cared about basketball. Basketball was my life when I was in 6th grade and AU nearly beat eventual National Champs Syracuse and Carmelo Anthony in the Sweet 16 in 2003. I then spent the next half of my life suffering immensely through the Lebo and Barbee eras. That's why the Pearl era and these last 2 seasons in particular have been so sweet.

That's not a feeling you would understand, although if you aren't a bandwagon fan 08 and 09 might have come close for you after y'all's near brush with the death penalty and the Shula era

What about Auburn's 30 point loss to Clemson last year in the tournament....

Painful, but with all the injuries we had fallen apart at the end of the season and nobody really expected to win that game anyway. Still would've liked to have kept it closer

How did you handle Clemson's disappointing season this year? Y'all didn't last very long in the rankings

Also, what happened to Clemson's once proud baseball program?

I don't think 20 win season is disappointing and in my view ACC was much tougher than SEC in bball.

don't care about baseball.

Clemson swept UNC though.

weird comment given Clemson has a recent bowl win over LSU.

the LSU players were falling on field cramping up b/c they were not as fit as Clemson's players.

Preseason top 25 only lasting 2 weeks in the polls and going .500 on conference is pretty disappointing

0.500 or better in conference play at Clemson is pretty rare. Maybe only done 12 times.

Clemson started ACC season at Duke, at Syracuse, and home vs UVA.

I'll take 9-9 after starting 0-3 in conference any year.

why? you started talking trash, I pointed to most recent game between the colleges.

many people view that game as the game that sent Clemson to new heights and broke the LSU program.

Well y'all were supposed to be a better team than that this year, so it was a disappointing season.

I guess y'all's expectations were just set too high after beating an elite tier program in Auburn in the previous years NCAAT

I don't think anybody realistic thought it would be better this year given Gabe Devoe graduated. Our PG also had a leg injury all season.

Also had injury issues with Reed and the big man Eli, and lost a bunch of games by 1 or 2 late.

Reed didn't play against Miss State and that was a winnable game.

my point is you kind of make Auburn out as a basketball powerhouse now. Reminds me of SC fans a couple of years ago after their final 4 run.

Nobody said better, y'all were top 15 the year before. But y'all were still expected to be a top 25 team and finish in the top half of the ACC

Holy frick, you're difficult. Clemson had a disappointing basketball season compared to preseason expectations. Deal with it

i never had any expectations given Clemson is in the ACC, and Devoe was a great shooter who graduated.

Clemson was a competitive team this year, just didn't get the breaks at end of games that they got last year.

Our coach has landed 4 transfer players this offseason including Mack who played at Alabama last year.

I don't have much to say about this. Maybe Dabo has some screws loose or something. I guess he can say whatever he wants at this point.

I mean, it's weird. I'm not gonna lie. But it's just a bad joke IMO. Nothing more if I'm being honest.

Yeah well the experts clearly had expectations for Clemson basketball, and you're not an expert in anything except bollards, Google maps tours, and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains
