If true, that's pretty shitty. I don't know half the truth in the Calloway situation though. It does seem as if his STEPfather is a bit overbearing.

Or he might have realized he's gonna have a better chance to compete at Bama than he thought. He might have looked at the numbers, and realized that in 2009,2010 and 2011, Bama has signed 75 players, while Chiz has signed 84 in the same time frame and he's concerned about the direction Auburn's oversigning is taking.

Calloway is a different story though. I actually feel bad for him. He really got fricked over hard and it sucks for him.

At least he smiled during this announcement, it was like a funeral when he committed to Auburn, him included...

Probably because he knew his stepdad was going to "ground" him until he switched back and probably beat his arse too.

Seems like the kid is happy with his decision in that pick. You would think if his step father was forcing him to go somewhere, the smile wouldn't be their. I know when he chose AU, it was like someone died, and nobody appeared to be happy.

Yeah.

Calloway - Committed to UA for 18 months and strangely switches to AU. Committed to AU for 3 weeks and switches back to UA on signing day.

People find it weird he committed to Alabama?

18 months > 3 weeks

Not sure, kid has a big smile on his face like he loves Bama. Hard to draw your conclusion out of that picture.

Cool... we're going to get Cyrus after all. That's awesome. I guess negative recruiting doesn't work so well after all.

I would kinda think of it as a career decision.

Do I want to go work for a company that is already overstaffed at my position and has been laying a lot of people off recently?

Or do I want to go to a company that needs my help and has plenty of work for me to do and better job security?

I agree. Chiz has inked just one shy of the allowable amount in 3 yrs. I wonder how many he'll be cutting off next year.

Not to mention he went out of his way to buy the gloves instead of just throwing on a Bama hat, which I assume he has a few of...

I think it was because when he flipped at the Army game he knew he was going to catch hell and his parents were right there and PTFO, so he wasn't going to make it worse. And I am sure he grew up a bama fan, so that was part of it.

And he did catch hell, his stepdad, death threats, facebook shite hoping he broke both legs, etc.

When he announced today it was probably a huge relief that he would not be harrassed anymore.

He's 18, hardly a business decision. The kid evidently wanted to be a Bammer. Listen, his step father allowed him to switch to AU, so who's to say he's that bad? In the end, it seems like the kid was just more comfortable with Bama. Plus, Saban probably made him aware of his opportunities.
