He'll still sign a LOI, and Alabama's taking two QBs regardless. So, we're aware of that fact.

What a pussy. Just take the money and go to the Barn.

Yes...he's playing baseball.
He's a projected first round pick. That translates to a lot of money. More money than bama would play him even.

I just find it pretty shocking that they have apparently been recruiting him for such a long time, yet his parents only met some of the coaches in the last week.

How much more time do they need? They've had a frickING YEAR+ to figure this shite out. They ought to just flip a coin like that other recruit did and be done with it.

I think the family will just vote and then tell them their opinions. Then let Cyrus choose from there. I think family plays a huge part in this process. It may be too much for Auburn to overturn. The last visit was key for them to have.

Flipping coins to decide your future isn't very smart.

He just got back from their Junior Day. He'll be in Tucaloosa later this month for Alabama's second Junior Day.

Auburn didn't enter the picture until the last three weeks. Had Miami never fired Shannon, had he replaced them on his list of visits, this would all be over. But that's recruiting.

Based on that article and the video earlier if it really comes down to a family vote he will be at Bama. It's easy to see that his parents want Bama.

To be honest, as much as I'd love to have CK because he's a hell of a player and the fact that it would piss off the gumps, I've about had my fill of overbearing dads who get in the way of their kids. Jmo.
I get your point, but nothing I've read about his dad screams "overbearing." Unless by overbearing you mean wanting to make sure that his kid makes a decision that is best for him. I'm not even talking Auburn/Alabama here. The article linked to in the OP talks about how the dad has met Chizik once and has not met any of the other coaches at Auburn. Would you want your son to commit the next 3-4 years of his life to play for men whom you've never met or have only talked to for about an hour? If it takes a day or two extra, who cares?
If Cyrus really wants to go to Auburn, I'm sure that they'll take a family trip down to the plains. I'm not sure if they can have any interaction with the coaching staff other than phone calls (if that), but at least they can get a feel for the campus and the city. Auburn has a lot going for it from his perspective, so I wasn't surprised when Auburn came out of his mouth (though it appears from interviews that he was surprised): (1) immediate playing time; (2) close enough to his brother to take a day trip to visit him; and (3) top notch architectural program. Alabama has the draw of playing for his brother and has coaches that both he and his parents know and are comfortable with, but definitely lacks an architectural undergrad program.
It's a tough decision, to be sure, but whether he chooses Auburn or Alabama, the decision is one that he will have to live with. So let the kid take his time. He probably should have delayed his decision, but I'm sure the pressure to be on ESPN was overwhelming for an 18 year old kid.

All valid points...my stance is more of a "in the grand scheme of things" one...meaning Cecil, Peaches & Jean Claude.

Nope. I'm saying he would have never visited Auburn. He'd been to Miami before, during the process. Not Auburn.

The quotes I have heard from his dad sound very reasonable. I have no problem with the way his recruitment is being handled (nothing like Calloway). Now, his dad could push him to Bama behind closed doors, but I didn't get that impression. I would say it's 50/50 right now.
