When some exciting news comes out, usually the popcorn emoticon or .gif comes out. I tried to make this gif take the place of popcorn, but failed...

Most parents who live far from campus would want their son to attend the same school that their other son is currently at. It's a natural reaction for most parents imo.

I don't agree that it was all his parents fault he is reconsidering. Everyone that announced signed right there on the spot before leaving their seat. He must have had second though as soon as the camera turned off.

He did sign, he just didn't send it in. And I think its really because him and his parents have never visited AU together and his parents havent had much contact with our coaches... I think he'll still end up at Auburn

am not really sure. Just want to sit down with the FAM and decide from there
Based on the video interview with him and his family, I would think that when he sits "down with the fam" it would be good news for Bama - at least on the surface. Who knows at this point though really...

From what I heard, he hasn't signed anything...

Sounded to me like he made an emotional decision for AU. When he stepped away from the mic and the emotional choice did not feel even better after having said it then he went from heart to head. I suspect he could not figure out in his head how to justify an emotional choice in the analytical conversation he was about to have with mom and dad so he backed away.
Tonight there will be lots of conversation at home. If his heart is still saying AU then he should go down with mom and dad to find the head side so he can be happy with whatever comes next.
The part of the presser that got me was near the end when he said he was going to "The...uh...Auburn University." Not a good decision maker!

He might have had a little doubt himself but his dad is pretty set on where he wants Cyrus to end up. I do agree that they have good reasons for wanting him to play with his brother, main reason being that they wouldn't have to choose which son to go see play.
I hope that his parents come to Auburn and have an honestly open mind, I think they will enjoy themselves. But I really think that Saban sold them some seriously deep seeded bullshite and it is stuck in his dad's head. It would be ironic if Cyrus signs with Bama and Arie suddenly gets an ankle stinger and goes on medical hardship.

Unless they are on a plane right now, they won't get to see Auburn. The time table for his announcement is tomorrow per people really close.

And do you think Auburn didn't sell shite to Cyrus?

REC is threatening deportation if he doesn't sign with Bama.
