I just can't understand the strategy that inning. If we are going dumb and pitch to Papi then why didnt we walk the guy before him to set up the double play? We strike him out and now we are in best case scenario in the circumstances. We can now walk Papi which takes the bat out of their best hitters hands, sets up a force, and we don't go lefty righty.
But since we decided to pitch to Papi then why didnt we go to short? What's he in the bullpen for?
