He is a monster. If bammer is smart, you make the move as soon as possible

Yep. He's the best coach in CFB currently and it's not close

Too bad he’s not 10-15 years younger.

Saban never dreamed of having a team like this with only 7 blue chippers on the whole roster. It's crazy what he is doing.

Saban couldn’t do what he’s doing.

Why go to Bama, where you'll always be third best to Saban and Bryant, when you can stay at IU and become IU's Nick Saban or IU's Bear Bryant.
Think, Cignetti could win 3 - 4 NC's at Bama, and all he would hear is "that's nice, but you aren't Saban or Bryant".
Bama fans still fail to realize that being in Saban and Bryant's shadow will hurt Bama in terms of getting head coaches.

IU AD struck gold hiring him. Cignetti made it cool to play football at Indiana.

That's the biggest thing holding him back. If he was 15 years younger, I could see Cignetti getting to 6 - 7 National Titles and being right there with Saban. Being at IU and being at Indiana, I still think he wins 2 National Titles. If he could even win 3, at a place like IU, that's Saban level.
But is he only 60, he could easily coach another 10 years.

Cignetti has recruited a bunch of 5th and 6th year covid players. In the 2 years he's been there he's brought in over 80 new players. The majority of the players on the field today won't be there next year.
Saban had to develop talent. His teams would have killed Indiana because they were experienced and developed by Saban.
I think it's a good example of how years of experience and development are a big deal.
Cignetti knows what he's doing, I like his style of football.

Curious to see how he does next season. A lot of people claimed Indiana would drop this season. One thing though you know others will try and copy what he did with the super seniors now.

I think Georgia will match up with them well if they both make it to the title game.

By Saban’s own admission, his whole model was based on stockpiling 4 and 5 star talent. His statement to Mal Moore on the plane ride to Tuscaloosa was “ You bought a horseshite coach, but no one will out-recruit me”.

Ummm, IU just rewarded him with a “frick You Money” contract. IU has a bunch of billionaire's as alum and donors.
