Not enough downvotes.... so bama fans have left the SECR and they know, deboer isn't more than a 3-4yr guy.

Kelly is averaging 3.5 losses a year. Not impressed

But yet, bama fans BLASTED and continue to blast LSU for hiring CBK. Last i checked... CBK has more wins and yep, before you whine about CBK not being able to win the big game, remind yourself what deboer did in his first natty as the HC.

Kelly has had 7 losses (4 of them blowouts) in two seasons with a Heisman winner at QB. His only postseason BCS/CFP games were blowout losses as well. Not a great comparison to what DeBoer just did, or to make the case that Kelly is some elite coach.

I mean we all know 2023 Washington wasn't beating 2018 Clemson or 2020 Alabama.

Luckily DeBoer got an easier matchup to make the Bammers feel better.

CBK is 62 years old and has been a HC in D1 for like 20 years.

DeBoer is 49 years old and has been a HC in D1 for like 4 years.

So I should fricking hope so

CBK hasn't won shite in his 20 years coaching D1. DeBoer hasn't won shite either, but at least he hasn't failed for 20 years.

We're -fans-

That is short for fanatic. And we're among the best fan bases in the country. Yes, I know. Many such fanbases in the SEC.

Our job is to support no matter the case, even during phases that are understandably frustrating.

We lost saban... he couldn't coach forever. What did you want us to do? Stop being fans and stop having positive energy towards our new coach? There's plenty of reason Deboer got the job. We are simply agreeing with our athletics department until further notice...

Bama fans can get pissed at coaches, don't doubt that. But we'll give this guy some time to establish his system here.

When Saban moved into town we were immediately sternly taught to have realistic expectations over and over by him. That lesson has not been forgotten.

Was still a 1 score game in the fourth quarter.

BK it was over in the 1st quarter.

To clarify, BK begged Alabama, on national television, to not come out for the 2nd half of play.

Him not being a good ole boy alone is a positive. I'm prejudiced against southern coaches. Big problem with Bama post-bryant was this obsession of hiring a Bear guy, which snowballed with Dubose into big problems.

It’s really just a comparative analysis. Each coach has played for one national championship. One game looked competitive for 75% of the competition. One did not.

A major moral victory.

Alabama fans will hang on to Washington looking competitive for 2 quarters or so, for a long time.

Why are you pointing out the truth? LSU fans don't like that.

Has this not been discussed ad nauseum? Surely yall will eventually get tired of trolling this.

At some point...the games gotta be played and we all can see for ourselves

This is true.

Now they're being forced to use the same reasoning that LSU fans used, the guy has won everywhere he's been and will now have more resources and better talent.

My, my, how the turntables.

I'm not "so" confident he is the guy.
I am confident in his X's & O's.

He has said the right things, and I believe he can keep it rollin'. Now, can he keep it on track over a decade, I guess we will see as there is not much data on that. He reminds me of Urban with a better heart, where he succeeds fast with a team.

Recruiting is TBD - and this is where we'll see if his system is sustainable.

I hope they do better than the one his coaches fielded at Washington last year. I think he mentioned defense one time in his introductory press conference, and it was almost by accident.
FYI - Nick Saban is still in the building Lucado. Do you think defense will be forgotten or put on the back burner?

HAHAHA

CBK biggest things known for:

Teo'
Death of student
Cheating (vacated wins)
Eddie Lacy spin move
Grinding on recruits

He is a solid coach - but at least let Bama fans get a spring game in before you request Deboer's 10 year plan.
