Great read.

Boom is going to take us places that Dabo only dreams of.

Here's an interesting stat:

Dabo vs Muschamp's overall record thru their first 2 yrs at Clemson and Carolina. (iirc disclaimer applies)

Dabo:15-13
Muschamp:15-11

Boom was handed the keys too a great program, with loads of talent coming off 2 recent national championships. The locker room was bad but a Championship Caliber coach would have kept that train on the tracks..He let it derail and it still hasn’t recovered. I think Boom has gotten better with time, and maybe he has everything figured out now, but he still has a huge hill to climb, and he hasn’t done anything to prove he can accomplish something like that. Maybe I’m wrong though.

Why would you invite this comparison? Dabo has a national title and wasn’t a massive failure at his first HC job

I do think Muschamp has improved as a HC and has Carolina pointed in the right direction. Whether or not he can over take Dabo comes down to recruiting, if he can hold his own there is a chance.

Ppl also forget that Dabo is only .500 against South Carolina. We've had 3 coaches during that ten year span: Spurrier, Sean Elliott and Will Muschamp.

Dabo is an Alabama guy. Rather lose it to him over anyone else. Plus it completes the resume for later.

Edit: And yes Muschamp is doing a good job rebuilding that program, but is also taking advantage of a historically weak East right now.

No, he won't. Even if Muschamp started recruiting like Dabo (and he won't), he still has to play in the SEC.

Isn't Dabo taking advantage of a historically weak conference?

Yes Clemson benefits from playing in an easier division than the SEC West. ACC Atlantic has been on par with SEC East the past couple of years.

USC might improve as a program and have a worse record over the next three years than they did the past three years if a) A&M improves and b) UF or the Vols improve.

Well Clemson wouldn't have even made the CFP if y'all had beaten them, so...
