Th only thing more stupid than trying to determine which teams play for the championship in a 16 team conference without divisions is to try to determine the champion in a 16 team conference without either divisions or a conference championship game.

Problem is nobody really cares about conference titles at this point.
Duke won the ACC championship, got left out.
Miami didn't make the title game, made it to the CFP championship.
