Crowd split for SECCG

Georgia clinched east early so will that make it 60/40 UGA crowd?
Bama fans hold a bunch of permanent seats. Will they sell to their family, friends, neighbors?
Both schools will be allotted 17000 tickets or so.
I would guess crowd would be skewed to UGA, but not 85/15 or 70/30.
Best guess 55/45 UGA.

That is what I have been thinking.

At most...yeah, they had time and have a slight geographical advantage...but most UGA fans don't actually expect a win...AU fans do. That will impact ticket sales as well. I think it's going to be close to evenly split. Remember, these are the same UGA fans that said they were going to buy up so many tix in JH that it would be nearly split there (it wasn't even close and that's when they expected to win)

I think 60/40 sounds about right.
-For starters, and this is obvious, there are simply far more UGA folks in and around atlanta than Auburn
-MANY uga people will avoid getting hotels and can easily drive 30 miles or less from home, so they won't mind spending more on a ticket if needed
-We clinched the east a while ago so that's more time to purchase
-Lots of bama/uf fans have tickets from when they bought the lifetime pass thing in 92. UF fans realized months ago they weren't going to many of those were already unloaded and likely scooped up by UGA people (since it will be on the uga side of the stadium), whereas bama folks held onto theirs until 3 days ago.
-UGa hasn't played for the SEC since '12 and hasn't won since 05, and obviously we havne't ever made the playoffs, so I'm sure there are going to be thousands that are chomping at the bit
It's not going to be a home game by any means, but uga will definitley have more people. That's just common sense. It'd be like if the SECCG was played at legion field, of course there would be more auburn fans there.

60/40. Georgia will have the corporate tickets

You really think they are gonna pay $400-$500 dollars a ticket!? I don’t think so.

I'm going to need you to link me to that please, because that sounds like made up BS. We only got probably ~8K tickets from AU for that game, and unlike the ND trip we go to auburn every 2 years (rather than a literally once in a lifetime trip) so nobody in their right mind would think we would have any more than maaaaaybe 10-12K in there. Anyone who told you we'd have 40K is a fricking moron, or just pulling your leg.

My Uncle is a Bama grad too, and has permanent seats.(buys tickets early, or whatever deal he has). He always go no matter who is in, but he is taking Auburn grads as his guests this year. I bet this is what most of Bama grads who have permanent seats will do.

I know the times LSU has played UGA it has been pro UGA for sure.
It's why they need to rotate it with Atlanta being the host site for east and New Orleans or Jerry World could host for the west turn.

2011 SECCG was 70-30 UGA to LSU but at the start of the 4th it was 98% LSU

This is what I do as well. I’ve had seats since 2009. I have been every year except 2011. If Auburn wins west, I take AU grads/fans. My brother (Bama) and I (AU) go every year. It’s worked out to be AU 3 times and Bama 5 times since I’ve had the permanent seats.

I think 60-40 is more likely
Many big companies in Atlanta get tickets and most of those will wind up in the hands of UGA people

Just because you keep repeating something doesn’t make it true.

I don’t remember one Georgia poster on this board saying that let alone multiple.
Did you happen to see what South Bend looked like?
What about Vanderbilt?
And you can’t forget our takeover at Bobby Dodd
You know what? You’re probably right. Georgia fans won’t show up because we might lose. We really don’t travel well, as you can see. And given 4 extra weeks to acquire tickets to a game in the city where 90k alums live, it’ll be hard to see Georgia having more than Auburn in the dome. Definitely.

Close enough to 50/50 that neither team will be able to tell a difference in crowd noise.

I don’t see it. Especially, knowing it’s a possible loss.
