I'm actually in favor of just the opposite: MLB should switch to aluminium bats!
If people watch nascar for the wrecks, imagine the carnage of a 105 mph pitch being sent back to the pitcher's head at 130 mph! Pitchers would start wearing Beskar helmets.
And the scores would be NFL-like with all of the out-of-the-park HRs.

BTW You failed to mention the added expense of adding a softball coach to the proposal for Title IX purposes AND the fact that the vote to approve only lost by 7 votes.

Out of ignorant curiosity, an MLB player who hits 50 HR’s and bats .300 would likely get what kind of production with an aluminum bat?
