with his current reputation and record,

This part is what he would have to depend on. He is simply not a coach that is going to out coach another good coach on game day.

That much really should be obvious.

No, I saw it.

So how do you explain the Dinardo/Hallman, etc. years at LSU?

Saban is an absolutely more well rounded head football coach than Bobby Petrino. Petrino can develop an offense. Saban wins championships. So, as game-day playcaller? Obviously Petrino does more of that. That doesn't make him a better coach.

I didn't want to insult Monkey's...If Nutt would have been hired at LSU like it was suppose to go down there could be more championships for the bayou bengals

I've watched him get outcoached before, but this is dumb.

Right now he could be successful anywhere he goes. He's essentially built a brand around himself and recruits will want to play for him no matter where he's at (assuming its a somewhat reputable school in a major conference). I think Bama is one of the few places he could be as dominate as he is now though as now you are pairing Sabans brand with Bama and it's long history of success.

But long story short, yes I think he'd eventually win a national title at Arkansas. However I don't think he could win 3/4 there. I think Bama, Michigan, OSU and USC are the only places anyone could turn into a dynast right now. A few years ago I'd have added Miami and Texas to that list but their images seem to have taken a hit recently, some of that due to conference issues. If Urban Meyer can prove he won at UF on his own merit and not because of Tebow, he could very well build a program similar to what Saban has at Bama.

Not trolling and not gonna waste much more time on it.

The guys that can outcoach others on gameday are generally the creative guys and especially the brilliant offensive guys that outscheme the opponent and make up for a lesser talent.

That is what Petrino did.

That is not what Saban does. Saban has supperior athletes and he grinds opponents into the ground with power football and a physical imposing defense.

He is not taking a team with lesser talent and beating a team with greater talent through his coaching abilities on game day like the better coaches can.

Period.

This, some coaches can get recruits off their name like Pete Carrol,Nick Saban, and Urban Meyer. They have reputation of putting guys in the NFL.Saban is a celebrity coach that would sign top ten classes wherever he went and we all know what Saban can do when he gets talent.

somewhat agree, that's why i said "if he left alabama tomorrow."

his forte is getting the very best athletes, coaching them up, conditioning, them, getting them to buy into his system, getting them into the nfl. at this point, like today, i think he could get a lot of big time players to commit to arkansas. plus, he could sell some major, early playing time. think he could bring the other UA one natty before he retires.
