Tbh I'm such a Saban fan, I'd like to see him revive another powerhouse program. I think that would be fun to watch.
However, I'm an Alabama fan first, so no

I'd love to see him go take the Kansas job and run through the Big 12 after a couple of years just to prove he could

Saban could defeat Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

OU is right up the road from DFW. Michigan has access to Ohio recruits plus Detroit & Chicago.
What’s the closest metro to Lincoln?
I was really trying to compare them to two other traditional powers in the midwest area although Oklahoma is more southwest. I just think that a good coach there could recruit the entire midwest and maybe even dip into oklahoma or texas occasionally and snag one.

Yes. Jesus this is so stupid. There is no national power where Nick Saban couldn't win at. He's not going to do what he's done at Alabama just anywhere, but he has the most gravitas and pull that any coach has had in the history of college football. They'll get recruits to come there, he'd get the AD to bend to his will, facilities will get built, etc. The problem with Nebraska, or any of the fallen powers, is that they aren't hiring the right people. There are a lot of pretenders in CFB, and college athletics in general.
The real question that should be asked vis a vis Nebraska is what is the way forward? Personally, I still think Frost can turn it around, but he's got to do one of three things. Firstly, Martinez is not a D1 QB. He might have the physical tools, but just like Jarrett Guarantano, he doesn't have the mental tools to succeed in modern college football. Secondly, he needs to either fix his QB evaluation, or hire somebody that can do it. Lastly, their lines aren't good enough. He doesn't have to recruit 5 or even that many 4 star guys on either line, but they are clearly not doing a good job of developing those guys, particularly on the offensive side(honestly whenever I see them play their DL seems good enough for the opponents they face). Unless they're looking at a proven program builder and they are going to give him time to build(Bill Clark), or they're going to forsake any chance at being a national power for the forseeable future and go to the triple option, their best bet is to stay with Frost. Actually, having looked up their season, they've played EVERY loss other than last week to a one possession game. They are a solid QB transfer away from being a good team. Trust me, I've seen disastrous coaching, and this isn't it. It's a decent team that hasn't found a good enough QB.

10 years ago he could have. He's 70 now.

If teams like Iowa and Iowa St can compete and get ranked, Nebraska can as well.

CNS could win at UCONN, KANSAS, NEBRASKA, CAL, UTAH ST. IDAHO, IDAHO ST. ILLINOIS, VANDERBILT, TENN-MARTIN, MTSU and win big at any one of them!
Truth! CNS IS THE "GOAT!"

It blows my mind that a place like Nebraska can’t even recruit a top 15 class.
They're getting good classes and recruits. Their coaching stinks

If the one time transfer rule is still in effect he’s going to have a top 10 team the his first year

Has Saban ever won big when he did not have more talent than the team he was playing .Coaching up is not what he is good at.But probably the best ever at evaluating talent.

Nebraska made a bad move out of the B12. Hurt them on many levels. Nick Saban 20 years younger could turn it around for sure. Nick Saban today….. probably so, No doubt at all if he was 8-10 years younger. Nebraska is going to take lots of energy at this point.

Foster...when he flipped back to bama I stopped caring about recruiting to the LOI came in.
I don't believe Saban gets enough credit for casting vision and maintaining vision as a leader. Over the years he has shown an ability to adapt the vision but maintain the same core goal. It's a gift few people have in this world.
He wouldn't of had the same success at Nebraska as bama but he'd of been successful.

Um, yes? How old are you? OU was easily the more talented team when he beat them in 2003. And the UF team he made Tebow cry was more talented too.

I think he’d be a lot closer to Michigan State Saban than Bama Saban .
Nebraska’s not a National brand anymore

Iowa State isn't either, they just made the right hire.
