S Tiger. Your problem is you are so jelly of Saban and what he has done at UofA that you can’t stand it to the point you have to come on tRant and post stupid shite that you know is a lie.
Head coach OeMiss
Head coach at Texas
OC at one of the most successful teams the last 20 years in the NFL
You see what you did there?
You are lying and you do nothing but .

I'd be very surprised if he'd take the job given the circumstances. Coaching is still a lot about loyalty and reputation. A first time HC going into a shitstorm of a program that is historically lower tier in performance is very likely to be looking for another job in less than 4 years.
In spite of how good the opportunity may be and Saban would likely even support the move, not leaving Bama high and dry this late in the summer as a first season HC at the school would do more for his coaching reputation than potentially taking an advancement to HC at a school with no real shot at success.

Rees said he left his alma mater because he wants to learn from the best. I assume that means at the head coach level. That takes time. And getting the reputation as the next big thing requires a few years of ultimate success at the position he coaches. Look what it did for Kiffin, Sark, Locksley, Cristabol, Napier, Smart, Jones, and McElwan. To name a few.
A lot of these guys turned down jobs like NW until they found that fit at a place they could win and win big. Rees, has that, someday, going home feel to me. And it doesn't go through Chicago.

Has Rees ever had a top 10 ranked offense? How about top 30?

To apparently post as many comments as possible without ever admitting being wrong about anything. I've seen a lot of multi page threads consist mostly of arguments between this dude and someone else. That has to be why this Sidewalk guy has more than 5 times the amount of posts I do, aside from joining only a year prior to me.

Please do it. Saban would have a meltdown.

Bama is going to be so bad on offense this year.

This is some serious wishful thinking. Good luck with that prediction.

Saw this in an article written 17 hours ago.
Well, there you have it. He's as good as gone.

As college football pundits begin to list candidates, one with Alabama ties has emerged: Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees. The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman (subscription required) felt Rees would be a good fit for the Northwestern program.

I don't think Feldman has ever had a correct prediction his entire career.

They will still have the OL talent to bowl over most of the competition, but their passing game could be suspect.

Some of the dullards ITT need to go check what The King of CFB did the last time they had 3 1st round draft picks on their OL

Hmmmm. Let's see: Stay at Bama and do cranky old fart Nick's bidding with a bunch of scrub QBs and no proven back like Gibbs, or take a HC job at a power five school? Seems like a no brainer to me. Rees should run not walk to Northwestern.

He already was OC at a top program in Notre dame and now he can get some HC experience at a P5 program instead of staying on a sinking ship with a senile coach who is declining fast
Plus he could live in an upscale suburb north of Chicago or live in a boring crime ridden satellite city of crime ridden Birmingham in a state with the highest rates of obesity, poverty, and illiteracy
It’s a no brainer

The King of CFB has one of the deepest and most talented RB rooms in all of CFB.
5* Justice Haynes
5* Richard Young
4* Jase McClellan
4* Roydell Williams
4* Jam Miller

I know that as a Bama fan you think stars automatically equal championships, but you lost a PROVEN 1st round level back.

I honestly think GWB was in the WH the last time The King of CFB didnt have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd round draft pick at RB

Lost a PROVEN first round RB going into the 2021 season and still made the title game. It's funny that out of all the positions you could choose on a Saban team to not give the benefit of the doubt, you chose running back.
