God damn Coonass is a) fricking stupid and b) an obsessive little shite.
ETA: Last year, your WORST CASE SCENARIO was 8-4 per Coonass. The reality of it was that you needed to beat the worst Ole Miss Rebels team in the history of Ole Miss Rebels football just to become BOWL ELIGIBLE.
These players who you think are super fricking awesome, aren't. Your team may be more talented than the fighting Crooms of a few years ago, and they may be more talented than our rag-tang gang of misfits, but they're still not more talented than half of the Southeastern Conference.

You haven't been paying attention DC. According to state posters they have...
Top 3 DL
Top 3 secondary
Top 5 RB's
Middle of the pack LB
Middle of the pack QB
Morrow, Bumphis, Lewis, some other kid I can't rmemwber, Johnson, etc are at least middle of the pack
OL is weakness but if Tobias comes back wont hurt them so lets say 7-8th.
With a coaching staff that is middle of the pack
If you do the math.. Their defense will be top 4 and their offense will be top 7. With a coaching staff that is top 5. Add those averages together, divide by 3 and state is at best the 4th best team in the SEC and at worst 6th best in the SEC.
With Bama, LSU, and UGA being the obvious top 3. State will fight arky and SC for the next three spots. So in their opinions 4th in the west is the worst they will finish. Where am I wrong state fans?

OTOH, we were a Relf QB sneak and a pass or two away from beating SCe and Auburn. It works both ways. We don't have the depth to lose two-three olinemen or have Relf regress and keep up to where we were in 2010. I think as long as Russell minimizes turnovers and our running game is strong we can win 8-9 games. If not then well here we come Memphis or Nashville.

I don't care how many "plays" you were away from a win. If you're going to do that, then don't neglect to mention that you were just a play or two away from losing to Louisana Tech last year.
A lot of games are just a play or two away from being completely different than their outcomes. That's why football's so fun.

We were one or two plays away from being undefeated and playing for the SEC in 08.

Is it becuase of cam or becuase we're not very good and pretty beatable, but still carry a reputation? Which i guess also describes UT.
