All things considered that may be one of the most fitting topic gifs. It's absolutely perfect.

LSU's season and hope for ATL comes down to 1 drive.

Who is the opponent?
Is it on LF7's shoulders alone?
How much grass has Les eaten this game?
Has Aranda solidified what Steele couldn't?

Joke aside, I'd say it would be more a matter of Bama beating us to Atlanta again by having better lines. Can't win smash mouth football if the other team is bigger/stronger/deeper on the lines.

Solid answer. The SECw seems to always boil down to a race with Bama to the finish line.

What is your honest expectation of the defense under Aranda? I like the hire a lot, but like you said, I'm not 100% positive the pieces are there for him to win 10/11 games.

That was the justification last year anyways for Steele's struggles at times, so just seeing if anything changed.

Defense should be better than last year. I'm more worried about Bama's D being in our backfield 2 seconds after the snap.

Last year we were considered young. This year we have more of a veteran defense. A lot of returning starters will be the difference. Not to mention DA can teach his defense in such a way that even you and I could grasp it.

Easy.

3-4 defense under Aranda only has one good, veteran tackle at the nose position, Valentine ends up in jail, and Edwin Alexander plays like a typical freshman.

Harris regresses and can't hit receivers in stride.

I expect a top 10 defense.

The 2014 defense was an even younger version of the 2015 defense, and even the 2016 defense. Chavis had us clicking by the end of that 2014 season, finished 5th best scoring D nationally.
Steele took a more talented D in 2015 and turned them into the 41st ranked scoring D.

We went 9*-3 (10 if we play mcneese) last year so of course im pretty sure we have the peices for 10 wins, even 12 IMO.

Why we have the peices for 2016:
- 2014 defense fished top 5 nationally and 1st in the SEC.
-Godchaux and Lacoutre were our interior starters in 14, are starters in 16 too
-beckwith came on late in 14, starting in 16 too
- white and Adams were our best CB and S in 14, best CB and S in 16 too
- 15 secondary class was sick and in year 2 now
-Neal/bower were contributors in 14, starters now
- add guys like key (15 class) in their second years to the mix...

^ 15 was terrible bc Steele is terrible
^ our best players in 14 (top 5 D) are still here, and we've added betters ones than we lost since

Well, we only have one gimmie on the schedule (LSU, obviously) but the rest will be tough.
