The fact that saban is such a pussy is actually a stain on his legacy

In the past 10 years Tennessee is 10th out of 14 in conference winning percentage.

This means absolutely nothing going forward.

quote:

The schedule is completely fair.

Someone with limited intelligence and an inability to grasp that the winds can change direction in any given year is liable to think this. Tennessee, as fun as it has been to point and laugh at them for the last decade and a half, aren't about to remain down and out forever. They possess similar advantages to the other great powers of the SEC (loyal fan base, fertile recruiting grounds, deep-pocketed boosters, etc.) and thus it was only a matter of time before they found the right coach to get them back on track.

Tennessee could very well be a perennial Top 10 team going forward if their present recruiting is of any indication. Once that happens the schedule no longer seems that fair as Alabama could potentially be playing three permanent opponents ranked in the Top 10-15 every single year going forward.

If what Ross Dellinger says is true, Alabama is the only member of the Big Six who has three permanents who are all members of the Big Six:

Auburn - gets Vanderbilt
Florida - gets South Carolina
Georgia - gets Kentucky
LSU - gets Ole Miss
Tennessee - gets Vanderbilt AND South Carolina

Hell, even the newly arrived blue bloods that are Texas and Oklahoma get at least one member from outside the historic powers of the conference:

Oklahoma - gets Missouri
Texas - gets Texas A&M AND Arkansas

That is not going to remain the same. This is what you people are failing to grasp. Tennessee is on the rise while Ole Miss will always be a perennial seven or eight-win team. Sometimes they'll get lucky and have a nine or 10-win season. That's their ceiling. Tennessee's ceiling is a national championship.

So you are in agreement that the scheduling isn't fair? That's all I needed for you to acknowledge, your stupidity aside.

There is no way to look at the history of the Bama LSU game and come to the conclusion that Bama has any reason to be scared.

Nick Saban:
quote:

We got three teams and two of them are in the top 10 and the other is in the top 10 a lot.

Weeks spent in the AP Top 10 over the last 10 seasons
Texas A&M - 44
Ole Miss - 20
Louisville - 18
Iowa - 15
Tennessee - 15

Uh-huh...

Your opinion.

All that matters is to 17-18 year olds Ole Miss has been unquestionably the better program.

I think using 50 year old history to determine 2024 schedules is silly

Why do you think Kelly would change his tune in your hypothetical scenario? Do you think highly of Texas’ football program?

Texas recruits at a much higher level than Ole Miss so regardless of anything else, beating Texas consistently would be harder than beating Ole Miss consistently.

I really think it doesn't really matter right now who is grouped up with and could be changed again to make corrections down the road.

So LSU fans are championing the Aggies as a great football program now after all the bullshite they've spewed for 11 years.

Never thought I'd see that day but Jimbo is LSU's daddy.

How many teams will have 3 of the Big 6 as the permanent teams on their schedule? I believe there is only one. Nick Saban is right. The reason it was scheduled that way is because in most years those 3 games have been among the top games for ratings, ESPN wants them every year.

Have they? Since the turn of the century, Tennessee has had five seasons of 10 wins or more. Ole Miss only has two. Since the turn of the century, Tennessee has been to the SEC Championship Game three times. Ole Miss hasn't been to one.

Also, Ole Miss has never had an 11-win season in the entirety of their program's history. Tennessee just had one this past season. And finally, you have to go back to the days of Johnny Vaught to find a season where Ole Miss finished as high as Tennessee did in the 2022 rankings.

Finally, Ole Miss is 100-94 since 2007. In that same time period, Tennessee is 105-94. So to say that Ole Miss has been the unquestionably better program since even Saban arrived at Alabama is stretching the truth a bit.
