Link? Who is this "expert"?
I think he is referring to Don Jackson.

It would not be the first time ever. You are a total fool if you think that. Why have all these teams been put on probation for playing ineligible players if the NCAA didn't rule them ineligible?
He means it would be the first time someone was ruled inelligible for solicitation without ever actually receiving an extra benefit (assuming Cam/Cecil never actually got any $).

2. The NCAA may change course and rule a player (Cam) ineligible for the first time ever. Would I be shocked, no, but it is FAR FAR from a given.

3. People here spout it off as a fact that soliciation = ineligible. That is ignorant and shows the intellect of this board in general in this particular case.

you are fooling yourself

this is a high profile case which looks dirty as hell

The NCAA (evidenced by USC, Dez Bryant, and North Carolina) has decided to lay down the law and make examples out of people and programs if they look dirty

Just the appearance of impropriety with this political environment is a major "oh shite" for anyone in their cross-hairs.

They have a perfectly good rule on the books and a national stage to demonstrate how they punish inappropriate behavior... they are sure as hell going to use it

What fricking evidence?

This whole thing revolves around what Kenny Rogers has said.

Please, post some damn evidence. I would love to see it.

This is like watching a thousand people in icy North Atlantic waters trying to cling to a single life preserver.

Yeah, the ones who bailed. The ones who went down with the ship, on the other hand...?

I'm sure some of them were asking for proof that the ship was sinking even as it was taking on water.

Now you are just starting to sound like Dooley with your intricate history analogies.

Ok, ok, fine. Let me make an image macro to get us back to the original tone of the conversation.

There we go:

Bama screwed up by pleading guilty and hoping for the mercy of the court. The Barn shouldn't say a damn word about it.

Ok maybe evidence was the wrong terminology. Let me rephrase. All this smoke billowing out of every window makes me think the fricking house is on fire. And I aint just talking about the MSU/money thing. I talking bout the cheating, speeding tickets, stolen laptop, etc. You really think Cam and his daddy are nice, standup dudes? No! They are classless shitheads with a sense of entitlement

And neither has shown or said that they have ever talked to Cecil Newton about money where as Rogers talked to both. Wonder who the FBI will be asking them about.
