Alabama is actually a pretty state also, decent beaches, especially compared to connecticut, nice hills and not a lot of liberals, relatively speaking.

You couldn’t pay me to live in Connecticut. It’s one of the most progressive, Democratic states in the NE region

Living in the north east in winter surrounded by Uber liberal Yankees or summers in Bama surrounded by gumps?
That’s a no win. Fishing is better in Bama and the cost of living is lower but the summers are hell vs better hunting with a better standard of living and the summers are hell.
I’ll stick to mild summer and doable winter with moderate everything else in east Tn.

You have not been to Alabama much, if at all, to say we are not a pretty state. We have quality parks, We have quality beaches, and we have plenty of natural scenic beauty whether it be flat country sides, mountains, rivers, and lakes. We do have our fair share of trailer owners in our rural communities but name me a state that does not.
And we are a red state if that kind of stuff matters to you.
