65th in the 500 freestyle. You can check it out here.
Dude was 11.47 seconds off the American record in this event, doesn't even qualify for ncaas. If you're a woman swimming 11.47 off the American record in 500 freestyle, not only do you qualify for ncaas... you fricking medal

Biologically though, unless a person undergoes it BEFORE puberty, you'd still have the benefit of years of increased testosterone increasing your muscle mass. These levels would only serve to prove you wouldn't be currently at those levels.
Agreed.
Men typically have larger muscles, denser bones, and higher fractions of lean body mass (less fat).
They also have a higher oxygen-carrying capacity, because testosterone stimulates bone marrow to produce more red blood cells.
Cosmetic surgery or even hormone replacement after the fact will not significantly mitigate these inherent physical differences.

If this post was on the OT, now would be a good time to respond with "As a woman..."

Will Thomas swam 3 years at the collegiate level and had no significant success. So his senior year he puts on a woman’s suit to compete against women? F**k all you “woke” liberals. My 13 year old grandaughter has been swimming competitively for 5 years. Her hard work has gotten her in the top twenty in her event in the state. So what’s the fairness of a swinging dick that has trained and competed as a man suddenly switching over to compete as woman at the collegiate/Olympic level?

Lia lived as a white male for 99 percent of her life so it's not a big surprise she felt entitled to exploit the rules for her own gain and to the detriment of women. She may feel like a woman but these are the actions of a specific kind of man.

That won't get you a dime in scholarship money or even a preferred walk on status as a guy... but it will as a woman. Where's the fairness in that That's the underlying rub in this ordeal. Lesser qualified women have been benefitting for decades.

So you’re saying women are “lesser” if they can’t keep up with guys competing against them in women’s sports? That’s bullshite.

common sense and fairness should fit in the equation too.
Life isn't fair and when you try to make it so you have to reject common sense. Life rewards strength. If that strength is used to support subjective "fairness" you end up with a reality that doesn't make sense as it goes against natural order.
The path to this is paved with good intentions.

I see it differently, if she had gone thru all of camp and sacrificed on the scout team like college players do, i would have no problem. Her competitive advantage was being a female...
As it pertains to swimming, this is what their parents elected. Its truly hilarous to me. I think its awful personally, but this is what the academic world gives us.
I think you may be glamourizing how much "sacrifice" a scout team kicker on Vanderbilt goes through.

Not so long ago society treated mental illness.
Now we're supposed to celebrate it.

I guarantee we will eventually see 40 year old dudes “identifying as 16 years old” so they can bone minors. This rejection of objective truth is only getting started

To my knowledge, kickers have to be at all practices, all conditioning, and spend days as the obsession on the first team kick and field goal coverage teams.
I think you underestimate how much goes into being an sec football player. Do you have a vagina?

Your concern should be less about men vs women and more about men in women's spots vs women.

No, I'm saying lesser as in women ranked lower nationally getting more scholarship money than higher ranked men
I say this as someone who held a state record for 13 years, and had a single digit national age group ranking. I may understand the ins and outs of swimming more than someone whose only affiliation with the sport is your grandkid swims. I also swam in college and know exactly what quality female swimmer gets equivalent scholarship money to a guy.

You’re saying say a 10th ranked woman swimmer gets more money than a 10th ranked me s swimmer? No way.

that's exactly what I'm saying, gramps. That's the difference in men only getting 9.9 scholarships to fill a team vs women getting 14. It maths out to equivalent women getting 41.41repeating% more scholarship $ over an equivalent male. That's not equality, or even equity. It's one ginormous pile of bullshite they've been benefitting from for decades.

Awww somebody got der feewings huwt and stawted sayin the mean man has a vagina...
I guess the guy who thinks a regular walk-on kicker at Vandy has a hard life is the tough guy here. Makes sense.
