The cocks would be in the same bracket as LSU while state will be in the opposite bracket.

Didn't the cocks take the series vs LSU this year? Seems like if they make it to Omaha then you'd have to like their chances to win that side of the bracket over LSU. Would be pretty cool if MSU vs the Coxks in the final.

Oh yeah I know but it does give them confidence that they can beat LSU in a series on the road. Flip side is LSU will be looking to avenge the losses.
LSU is playing very well now and would tend to give them the favorite but a Nola vs Montgomery matchup would be badass . USC will be a tough out in Omaha.

As an LSU fan, I'm sure you would. It would be an epic matchup. He just pitched a complete game shutout vs UNC, first time in 96 games they've been shut out, he pitched 7 innings vs LSU and held ya'll to 2 runs in a game USC won.
I wouldn't dismiss him vs Nola and hopefully they beat the shite out of LSU in the CWS

I posted this in TR, but thought I'd insert it here,too.
I was visiting my son in Hernando, Ms. this past weekend and we went to a sports bar to watch LSU-Ok Friday night. As the game progressed, a rather large crowd started gathering for a band that was going to start playing around 9PM.
When LSU finally scored, we whooped and hollered. After we quieted down, A surly deep voice rings out, "LSU SUCKS". My son, as usual decked out in P&G, yells back," Where's OLE MISS?"
Another voice Yells back, " Yeah, He's right. Y'all riding the pine again!" Most have been a state fan. Never heard anything else.
